I'm surprised you did lines at all. I've started doing grid lines the same way I handle them in CSS: A grid with 1px gap where the background color is the border color and each cell has the orange instead.

Been playing around with @Figma Agent. Give it any font, and it pixelates the edges while keeping the original letterform. The results are surprisingly clean. I might even use this in one of my upcoming projects.
