Playing around with 'use cache' for a new guide I'm working on. Put together some basic examples at the route, component, and function level. Also gave the playground a glow-up: tweaked the design, added Geist and images, and the gradient borders are finally out, sooo 2022 💁‍♀️

i was experimenting with dynamic io the other day. it works great in development but it fails to build if there is a dynamic page [id] in my code. i didn't know how to fix it so i disabled it. 🤷🏻 does it not support dynamic pages yet or something might be wrong with my code ?

The playground is such a lovely demo of App Router's patterns and how powerful it can be. 😇 Would be cool to see experimental features like forbidden and unauthorised in the sidebar but with a badge to state they're experimental.

I've added a function to propagate a gradient across the mesh (it follows the curvature of the hair), and then copy that gradient to the Windows clipboard as a transparent picture, for use as a selection mask in the image editor

Air Temple Island! This was a great set to design for the film, looking at various sources and piecing together as much as I could. We primarily see this at the end of the film with Aang, Katara and the new Air Acolytes. Also a surprise interior at the end we didn't use.

You can now save Editable Images to assets 🥳 Unfortunately the latest changes also involve a permission check that only allows you to turn your own assets into Editable Images ☹️. Lets hope an exception gets added for Plugin / Studio use so that people can apply adjustments to images that are publicly available Still a really good feature, I will be releasing this plugin as soon as Editable Images and the CreateAssetAsync function are out of beta!

New playground equipment has been added to Monkey Mountain at Ichikawa City Zoo! As of today, May 12, 2026, the monkeys are already loving it: climbing, swinging, and playing nonstop 😍 Punch is hanging out nearby with Sotomaru, calmly observing all the fun. He seems healthy and relaxed, but we don’t think he’ll jump on the new equipment for a while yet🐒❤️
