pleasantly impressed with Lichtfield. With the right workflow, synthetic gaussian splats from Blender look pretty damn good - oneshotted this earlier with only 160 1k renders

If you played Cyberpunk 2077 you may remember the Braindance tech where you can playback a memory from your brain chip Those are essentially gaussian splats viewed as point clouds with time information, and you can do same, pretty cool

3DGS needs to fix this if they want to be used for virtual tours: Gaussian splats struggle with ceilings. NeRFs ALWAYS beat out quality in this respect. I captured this over the weekend to compare. I have ideas on how to fix it. Anyone else have success with ceilings?

3DGS render blender add-on v3.0 ( was just open-sourced! With KIRI tools, you can use "3DGS to mesh" function to get a mesh from Gaussian splatting, and now you can convert the mesh back to Gaussian splatting. It's kind of ironic, but we just try to bring handy tools to everyone. #GaussianSplatting #Blender

Summer Cammy low-res preview Another EEVEE test. I fixed the simulation issues and got a good workflow for working fast with this rig. Low-res render at only 16 samples. Besides the film grain/music, everything was done in Blender+EEVEE in realtime, including compositing/grade
