A preview of what's next, visualized with Rerun and PlayCanvas supersplat ✨ (Also, feel free to send me a DM 📩; I’ll be in San Francisco from July 21–29, and I'm looking to meet like-minded folks!) I'm convinced that Gaussian Splats will be an integral part of any data engine as an underlying representation. So I've started putting together a repo that: 1. Given a single image, perform image outpainting 🖼️🖌️ 2. Estimate a monocular depth map on the outpainted image 📏 3. Train a Gaussian Splat initialized from the monocular depth 🎓✨ 4. Warp to new views, perform inpainting on the missing masks -> Train new splat 🔄🎨 This is going to be integrated into exo-egoforge, but I wanted to start with the simple single-image version before moving to a multi-video implementation There's some weirdness in the final rerun visualization, but the trained splat looks great 🎉! This is all based on the very cool VistaDream paper ( .github.io/) More on this next week!

GM - There are very few things I am still chasing as a collector in this space but last night I secured one of them. A future a.c.k. 1/1 via servant of the Muse #26 with the help of Rob | Rdtothemoon brokering it from a place of deep lore. This has been a long time coming and started with notxcopy and one of my favorite pieces by ACK called a moment of self reflection. I thought I had that piece secured until Curated came in to kick my ass on in the end in a bidding war. If Karma does in fact exist, I believe the Muse is going to reward me with something epic in due time. Cheers to kicking off 2026 with a bang. 🥂

I am really super happy to show you my research that transform 3D volumetric capture of man capture with Kartel.ai and with env gaussian splatting generated with World Labs in a three.js player . And all that is "upscale" using Hunyuan vid2vid model with a Lora train on videos on the main actor. Hope the future of movie is here :) . Still need some work, but you can get the idea

✨ From Mesh to 3D Gaussians - Shaded in Deferred Style ✨ By Stefano Scolari (with link to repo in the comment) When converting a mesh to 3DGS model, the Gaussians are embedded with PBR properties and normal info during conversion. This prepares them for shading, similar to traditional geometry. In this scenario, Stefano used a deferred approach for shading to demonstrate how seamlessly it translates from triangle-based pipelines. 🔥 Fun fact: The mesh-to-splat conversion only needs to occur once, but it's so fast you could actually run it every frame. Here’s the full pipeline: - Mesh-to-splat conversion pass - Depth pre-pass - Sort - Gaussian pre-pass (projective computations, etc.) - GBuffer rendering pass - Shadow pass - Deferred lighting pass This is the same classic deferred pipeline, but with Gaussians instead of triangles. Real-time relighting of converted assets? Totally possible.

On the Embakasi Gas Plant fire incident, I personally called NEMA several times to ask them two questions. 1. Why there was a gas handling factory operating next to a residential area? 2. How did the company get a permit to operate next to a residential area given the hazards it poses? This was next to my place in Nyayo and let me tell you, I just woke up to realize I escaped death last night but unfortunately my friend Allan didn't. I remember one evening we were watching with him Herman Manyora's daily clips explaining how Ruto will not become President, that night we had a very long conversation with him on the danger that this gas plant posed to the community and eventually I told I'm moving out. You can imagine the last two months I lived in that house, I didn't step into my balcony or even open windows of my house et-al?, I couldn’t handle the smell of the gas anymore mahn. Anybody involved in corruption like this one should just receive a DEATH PENALTY!

It wasn’t about the trade but it’s about the confidence and mind set There are a lot of stories behind this account and it make the best of my trades of the year so far. A lot of nonsense happen this month after a long wait for something it came and you crashed it But as a resilience trader you ask for the last $6k that your client has and his response was Greatmann I believe in you and I am funding it now now … Most client lost trust in you because of loss they will call you names and insult you as if they gave birth to you. But you know o have never gotten a client that so much encourage me like Mr Dan He funded the $6k usd yesterday and as at today I made over $62,212 as profit Yes you hear me right 💪 It’s one of my best trade for a very long time in size it’s small compare to other account I am trading but this became the best because I was so careful that I pick losses in some places despite I know it will profit me but I just don’t want to take chances but all I want to say is any thing is posible in forex and so many of this type of account has been crashed by me but this one survived. Ok, Don’t want to get too heavy on you today. But I can’t help that a major event in my life fell on Good Friday years ago. Don’t worry I have been healthy for a while now but this is probably the most important post I can ever share with you. I already told you how Good Friday 1989 changed my life forever. Let me tell you how Good Friday 2017 DEFINED MY LIFE FOREVER. This photo is from March 2017 when I had a surgery in to take a lump off my thyroid that was detected in my yearly physical. The 1 hr surgery ended up being 3 hrs of removing stage 2 cancer that I didn’t know I even had. The surgeon put 4 dots where he would make his incision on my neck. I don’t believe it was a coincidence or mistake that the dots are over the word blessed and under the word GOD. I am cancer free and enjoying my life due to that yearly physical and #earlydetection . I am alive and healthy because I put my health first. Are you doing this? I have come to the realization that we generally go out of our way to take care of everybody else but ourselves. But I believe that Good Friday was a sign to convince me to use my public stage for something else. Bottom line, if I can just get 1 of you to push yourself or the ones you love to get a physical, mammogram, colonoscopy, endoscopy, blood pressure test, diabetes test or whatever else you are neglecting, then maybe that’s why I have been blessed with the public stage. Early Detection has been proven to be one of the best ways to help people survive potentially fatal ailments. I have received hundreds of letters by people that tell me I saved their life because they heard this message from me, went to the doctor and caught a problem in time. If I can save more lives by bringing this to your attention, then I have done my job. Happy Good Friday. DJ Make sure you share this with the hard headed person in your life that is taking care of everybody else. But refuses to take care of themselves.

I truly have no words to say right now besides that I love your content and how you deal with your career. If I am a good manager today, you should know that one of my biggest inspirations is you.
