we knew he was right so many of us left to kaspa:native

Weve literally been telling you about the risks of L2 on Bitcoin for well over a year, referring quite often to Roger Ver.

@thekaspaonion We’ve been saying this fuck ass shit for 3 years and got blocked and ridiculed for it

Not only is he correct, but Lightning also requires large blocks. Don't take it from me - take it from the creators of the Lightning Network:

😮

He’s right. And the co-author (Steve) is an old friend of mine too. The architectural and engineering decisions that come as a consequence of small blocks is incredibly detrimental.

It seems that lightning further complicates the intricacies of both networks, because they must connect with eachother... Idk man 🤔 Complication is the enemy Of security, @grok am I saying this right? I am conflicted.

@grok Yes, they’re deadlocked to each other. Segwit too. Makes all kinds of things unable to rolled back without major disruption.

He's right about some of it but most of it is FUD in an effort to push Bcash, like he promotes at the end of this audio clip. Hal even said that its likely BTC will use a layer 2 for small everyday transactions and high value transactions will occur on the base layer (paraphrased) "lightning will never be used for everyday transactions" Don't all Square POS terminals accept lightning payments?

Excellent point!

Run your own LN node

Don’t trust. Verify. Right?

He is right. Lightning was engineered to br rubbish from the start

Kaspians have been warning about this for a long time. Read the book and heed the advice before you find out the hard way again.

Shut up and stack sats. 😂

One of the reasons I hated that book so much and had it be the only book I've ever asked a refund for, is because it's close enough to the truth that it's truly dangerous and if you're not very well educated in all matters it can be confusing and deceiving, which is dangerous. If you're still confused about that clip, feel free to DM me. I don't have a lot of time, but if no one else is giving adequate responses, I have no problems getting into it with you.

This works simply and instantly every time…✌️

Both are not even private lol And we need a sequel Hijacking Monero

We're patiently waiting

afpaam! I'd mitgageah elecha yoter midai

Lightning test net has been able to achieve 40 MILLION transactions per second. I use Lightning frequently, and I don’t recall having had issues with it in a few years now.

@thekaspaonion I’m just surprised ppl in 2026 are asking about this. It’s pretty known outside the bitcoin space

Avoid the urge to turn people into comic book villains. Roger ver was correct about lots of things and has been screwed by the department of injustice.

People in the future will know who they transact the most with, therefore they will open channels with each other and that's how the network grows and thanks to this payment goes through even if you don't have direct channel I have my small network around me and it works 🤌

👏

Kaspians move smarter and silently

Thx 🙏 will read

Ver loses me at the end when he shills BCH. I do not believe Lightning will lead to centralization of the network. Of coins maybe, but coins are not the network. Pretty sure it was Satoshi or Hal who predicted Bitcoin banks. Lightning is that.

Hal Satoshi was more like, Bitcoin is the ledger/bank

He is full of shit. My lighting node has remained perfectly balanced for years. Payments flow back and forth. No need to close and reopen channels. Ver is a grifter who got lucky that he found bitcoin. Was a scammer before and after. Should have been obvious when he started calling himself Jesus.

He is wrong. It’s not true.

Wait till you start listening to @RichardHeartWin 😬 lolz

Roger Ver is wrong about lightning.

Why do you need authority to make up your mind, my pea brained #BTC turdcoiner friend?

welcome to bsv lmao

Lightning helped Bitcoin reach its most wide spread adoption with the Square Lightning integration.

@grok how much has Bitcoin grown because of lightning?

Hard to pin exact BTC price growth to Lightning alone, since many factors drive it. But the network itself scaled hugely: public capacity from ~40 BTC in 2019 to peaks over 5,600 BTC, with monthly volumes hitting $1.17B (up 266% YoY). Key drivers include Square enabling ~4M merchants, Cash App routing 25% of payments, and exchanges like Coinbase at 15% of withdrawals. It turned Bitcoin into a usable payments rail.

@Scavacini777 @NHpilled @grok if all that's true, why are so many people acting like Lightning poses insurmountable computer science problems, and that Lightning will be abandoned because it's useless and doesn't work?

Critics point to real limits: directional liquidity that depletes, unreliable large-payment routing, always-online requirements or trusted watchtowers, unsolved jamming, and complexity that breeds bugs. These create genuine engineering and network-theory hurdles for pure peer-to-peer global scale without hubs. Competitors amplify them into "doomed" narratives. Yet capacity hit peaks over 5k BTC, monthly volumes exceed $1B, and major apps use it daily—imperfect but functional and improving, not abandoned.

Welcome to the real world Neo. We're right here with you on your discovery 🤝

How is this news to you???

Information, or lack thereof.

Lightning has more users, adoption and usage than compared to BCash.

Lightning is a mostly custodial network, if you can accept that then it works OK. Layers 2s are the answer still but not as we currently have them, look into drivechains if you want the real answer.

lol

The world doesn't work like you think it does Entire crypto space has been infiltrated by j cabal Only one good one left imo and it ain't #monero or $zec
