As someone who is 6'4" I truly appreciate this show just being about a big guy doing cool big guy things. Nice to have representation!

My dad passed away a few months ago. He told me about Reacher and insisted we watch it together. He was right, as usual. It was one of the last memories I have of him. I will watch Season 2 for both of us.

Almost every Reacher-book has him at some point confronted by an opponent who is larger and more dangerous than him.

I’m a dad with two daughters. and I’m self aware enough to know I watch Reacher for the EXACT reasons you detail here. But a show about a large man who beats people up is a nice change of pace when “Friends” has been on my television in a nearly unending loop for 3 decades.

I realize this was probably tongue in cheek but it misses the point. Reacher is popular because it’s about a dude with a clear moral compass with the power to act. It’s a throwback to simple 80s action movies and ritchison is a modern action hero.
