Police believe the same animal may be responsible for attacking at least three people in the last 36 hours in New Hampshire. The question is -- what is it?

Looks like a fox squirrel, but I didn't think they went that far north. I wonder if someone had it as a pet, so it associates humans with food, therefore the attack... it's hungry, out of it's natural habitat? 😔
