I've used ghee a fair bit in my animal-based life but I was never able to tolerate the taste of it straight from the jar. This Great Ghee product is different. It tastes more like butter than any ghee I have ever used plus it's lab tested for glyphosate, grass fed and made from A2 cows. Ghee is clarified butter with the water and milk solids removed, leaving it almost pure fat. It is a low omega 6 concentration of saturated and monounsaturated fats and has little lactose and casein, which is why many people tolerate it better than butter and it's why it has a very high smoke point. Highly recommend this ghee and it's made by a small business in Virginia.

Here they are, yesterday, testing drones. The State has no control over this private company, owned and managed by *nobody knows who* and teaching others how to build drones which will be used to kill people in Russia and many other countries.

Did you know you can create the Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution with just some balls and a motor? I built this simple device to illustrate it. This is how it works: A spinning agitator pumps energy into ~400 balls, so they bounce around and collide like gas particles in a box. They escape one at a time through a tiny hole, then fall a fixed gap into bins below. Since the hole is so small, every ball leaves with no vertical speed and takes the same time to fall. Constant fall time means how far a ball flies sideways is set purely by its speed. A faster ball goes into a further bin. So each bin is really a speed. Tally all 400 and you get the Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution.

The internet is flooded with videos of Japanese robots doing weed control. Now imagine this, India is also stepping into this space. I tried hard to find a solid product demo, but came up empty :( We really need to up our marketing game. Anyway, here is what we are doing: While Japan uses mud-clouding to block sunlight, an Indian startup called Harvested Robotics has developed "RAक्षक" (Rakshak), an AI-guided laser weeder. RAक्षक does not stir mud. It uses computer vision & high-precision lasers to thermally destroy the weed's growing point (meristem) at the cellular level. Why lasers for India? Because many Indian rice fields follow System of Rice Intensification (SRI), where water levels are shallow or intermittent. Mud-clouding works best in deeply flooded fields, but laser weeding is far more effective in variable water conditions common across India.

There's a bacteriophage that turns bacteria into “liquid crystals.” Specifically, Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria make Pf phages, which are rod-shaped, negatively-charged, and measure about 2 micrometers in length (roughly the length of an E. coli cell). These phages leave the cells and enter their surroundings. There, they mix with polymers, also secreted by the cells, to form a crystalline matrix. Surprisingly, this is good for the cells. Although the phages kill some of them, it also makes their biofilms stickier and able to withstand certain antibiotics. These bacteria + phages are prevalent in cystic fibrosis patients; they've formed a sort of symbiotic relationship. The Pf phages are made from thousands of repeating copies of a coat protein, called CoaB, which wraps around a single-stranded, circular DNA genome. These genes are integrated directly on the bacterial chromosome. The bacteria “turn on” these phage genes when placed in a viscous environment with low oxygen levels. This is like a trigger to start forming a biofilm. And the cells make a lot of phages; about 100 billion per milliliter. These liquid crystals form because of a physics principle called “depletion attraction.” If you just mix a bunch of loose or flexible polymers together (such as long carbon chains) they will not form a liquid crystal. But if you mix stiff rods (the phages) with loose polymers at a high enough concentration, the polymers will force the phages close together to create a material that flows like a liquid despite being ordered like a crystal. See the video below. These liquid crystal biofilms are hard to get rid of. The negatively-charged phages block many antibiotics (like aminoglycosides, which are positively-charged) from entering cells. Liquid crystals also retain water, so these biofilms can survive on drier surfaces. I first heard about this from Malmesbury’s excellent newsletter, called “Telescopic Turnip.”

This would free it from any chemicals, insects, dust, etc. Cooked it with just chillies and salt. Also added grated coconut - this not only enhances the taste but also helps absorb fat soluble compounds. The high fiber content in keerai leaves acts as a natural sweeping brush for our digestive tract. It eases our bowel movements, prevents constipation, and helps maintain happy gut. Consuming keerai during day time is best, giving it enough time to perform its job in our tummy. There is a growing new trend in Japan, it’s called Butsukari Otoko, it s type of physical assault towards women in crowded places like the street or train stop. Usually it’s men that do it but a growing number of women are now joining in the trend as well. The purpose is to perform Chikan which is deliberately ramming into a woman and making it look accidental. It’s supposedly used to relieve frustration or annoyance against cellphone users. When this happens it’s getting harder to press charges because they mean to make it look accidental so it’s hard to tell who is doing it deliberately and who is doing this intentionally, either way I feel children should be off limits, accidental or not, with this new trend should this be charged regardless of intent when kids are involved?
