Will crypto wallets, banks, and exchanges be indistinguishable from each other within the next decade? That's what Transak CEO, Sami Start, predicts. • Wallets are adding fiat on-ramps and off-ramps • Banks are adding stablecoin settlement • Wallets are adding fiat on-ramps and off-ramps The end state is an application that holds value, moves money and distributes financial services, with a blockchain underneath. your original birth certificate has a stamped number on it. that's a bond number. that bond number is traded on the stock market. the value of that bond number on the market is your value to them - which is commensurate with the amount of wealth they have stolen from you. that's called your minor estate. you can bitch all you want about whether nesara is a real thing or not - I could care less. one way or the other, this will all be sorted out. if I know, you know. If you know, then you can bet your ass they know that we all know. ncswic is not a tagline. you can take that to the bank.

ElevenLabs CEO Mati Staniszewski says that research is a head start and product ecosystem creates a moat: “The way we think about it, research is head start.” “We can give advantage to the customer earlier. And it's 6-12 month of advantage.” “You have research, product in parallel that extends that, but the thing that will really give that long-term value is the ecosystem that you create around, whether that's the brand and distribution, whether that's the collection of voices you can have, the collection of integrations you can build, the workflows that you can build.” Source: ElevenLabs CEO Mati Staniszewski on No Priors with sarah guo and Elad Gil

You all know full well that if you produce too much of something, its value will fall. That's elementary. Money is just the same. If you print too much of it, its value will fall ... It isn't a newfangled theory. It is as essential as the law of gravity, and you can't avoid it if you want to in fact tackle inflation.

MIT PhD student Alex Zhang reveals the scaling result where a model trained on short tasks generalizes to problems 100x longer for free: "If you're very clever about the design of your harness or how you use the language model, you can almost get scaling gains for free." "If you train a model naively, there's no tricks. It's just the same way you train a model on these RL environments. You just roll it out, and then you just get some reward." "If you train it on only short tasks, like only tasks that are 10,000 tokens long, and then you were to run it on a similar domain, but at a million tokens, or 10 million tokens, or 100,000 tokens, it generalizes really, really well. If you look at it compared to even the base transformer, you get way better generalization properties." "When the model uses an RLM (Recursive Language Model) after it's trained on these short tasks, it will see some kind of trajectory of actions that it does. Between these two problems of different lengths, the RLM learns to see them as almost the same problem." "Token for token, they're almost the same. You can describe it in code. In one code setting, maybe the for loop is a little bigger, but it's the same kind of code and it derives the constants from the data. There's no hard coding, so they literally look the same." alex zhang

Mati Staniszewski on why ElevenLabs is betting on a cascaded approach for voice agents: “Our approach, as you think about voice agents, conversational agents, is effectively a cascaded approach. You use transcription or speech-to-text, an LLM, text-to-speech, and orchestrate all of that together. Then you have speech-to-speech, which goes directly from speech, and there’s a speech response on the other side. Today, we are optimizing heavily on a cascaded approach. As we work with a lot of the businesses and enterprises, they will need that visibility into what happens. They will want to execute certain tasks on top of that. They want good visibility into each of the steps and great accuracy of all the models. But beyond that, they can abstract away what’s the LLM layer, what’s the intelligence layer, and the integrations are easier in that system. That’s where we are betting a lot of the research work on how you can make that great, and we think we can make that great.” John Collison @matiii ElevenLabs

"The principle is so simple that a child can understand." Rep. Thomas Massie breaks down the true cause of inflation. "When you print five trillion dollars and you put it into the economy, you have diluted the value of the money." "We can say, well, eggs went up because feed went up, fuel went up because there's a war in Ukraine. You can find a lot of excuses for various different industries." "But what is the probability that every price went up all at the same time?"

Have you ever wondered why Mahatma Gandhi placed such emphasis on khadi? Why did he frame the entire freedom struggle around the concept of khadi? And why did he only wear khadi? Because khadi is not just a cloth. Khadi is the expression of the people of India. It is the imagination, it is the sentiment, it is the productive force of the people of India. It is the expression of the people of India. Whichever state you go to, you will find different fabrics, and you will find that all these fabrics represent the people. When the people of Assam give you gamcha, they are not just giving you a piece of cloth; they are giving you a piece of their history, their tradition, their imagination. It's the same with people from other states. These fabrics are beautiful, but when you see these fabrics closely, you will find that each one of them has thousands of little threads embracing each other. All threads are equal. The threads cannot protect you or keep you warm, but when they come together as a fabric, they can keep you warm, protect you, and they can express what you have in your heart. In the same way, our nation is also a fabric. A fabric made up of 1.4 billion people, and the fabric is woven together by votes. The idea that every thread, every person in the union of India is equal - that disturbs my friends in RSS. They are happy to see the fabric, but they cannot stand the idea that every single person in our fabric, in our country, is equal. : LoP Shri Rahul Gandhi in LokSabha

Imagine an AI application that can type anywhere you can and use the full context of what's on your screen. This is the application we all deserve (at least if you have macOS.) Check out Omnipilot. It's an app that works with every other macOS application and uses Claude Sonet 3.5 in the background—it also supports Gemini and GPT-4o. Here is the idea: You can use the tool to ask questions about anything on your screen. Or you can use it to autocomplete the text you are typing. You don't need to copy and paste anymore or waste your time providing context to a model. It sees what you see. It works right where you are. That's pretty cool. Here are a couple of cool examples: • Use it to reply to an email • Use it in the terminal to autocomplete a command • Use it to finish a document • Use to send a message on Slack AI at the system level is bonkers. You can read a ton more on their Product Hunt launch page: Thanks to the Omnipilot team for collaborating with me on this post!

Jeff Bezos on the difference between your gifts and your choices — and the one that actually defines you: "It's the choices that define us, not our gifts ... You can never be proud of your gifts because they're gifts. They were given to you ... you can only be proud, really, of your choices, because those are the things that you are acting on ... you can choose a life of ease and comfort, or you can choose a life of service and adventure. And when you're eighty, which one of those things do you think you're gonna be more proud of?"

Respawn, the creators of Titanfall 2 somehow managed to make completely inconsistent Double jumps in Apex. They all use the same 2 second cooldown. But only Sparrow and Seer get an indicator showing you that. Wraith’s and Seer’s don’t give you any height if you try to use them after a Wallbounce or other height gains. Axle’s only works if you leave the ground with a jump. If you slide of an edge it won't work. All the other double jumps do work in that case.

This is why Founders need to hire a CRO pre-product. “You need a sales expert that can conduct 1,000’s of phone calls. Asking questions like: - Will you get value out of it? - How would you get value out of it? - What are some of the things you need to see in the product? Entrepreneurs think they know, but they don’t.” Love to hear your thoughts on this Brian Halligan Howie Liu

Elon Musk on the first principles mistake almost everyone makes when building something "People will start with the tools and parts and methods they're familiar with, and try to create a product using their existing tools. The other way is to imagine the platonic ideal of the perfect product. What is the perfect arrangement of atoms that would be the best possible product? And now figure out how to get the atoms in that shape" Lex: "It sounds almost like Rick and Morty absurd until you really think about it. If you don't, you might fall victim to the momentum of the way things were done in the past" "Just as a function of inertia, people use the same tools and methods they're familiar with, which leads to things that can be made with those tools, but is unlikely to be the perfect product" "That theoretical perfect product is a moving target, because as you learn more, the definition changes. You don't actually know what the perfect product is, but you can successfully approximate a more perfect product. People very rarely think about it that way, but it's a powerful tool"

People are so concerned about AI taking their job that they can’t see the massive opportunity right in front of them. The economy that's coming won't run on wages. It'll run on infrastructure. Agents will do the work, generate value, and settle the transactions, and all of that activity will live on top of a small number of layer 1 blockchains. Own that layer, and you own a piece of everything they produce. For the first time in history, anyone with an internet connection can put 10% of their income into the same asset class as a sovereign wealth fund. This is humanity's pension plan in the post-AGI world… a way to participate in the invisible economy that's being built right now. Owning the rails is how you unfuck your future.

Quinn Emanuel's John B. Quinn says they built a proprietary AI tool that can be used in real time during trial, even helping to question a witness on the stand: "We've developed in-house at our firm a platform that takes large masses of data - all the documents produced in discovery, all the testimony, all the contracts - and organizes it." "Now in the middle of trial, imagine somebody's on the witness stand. You can ask the AI, 'What's the best evidence that so and so just lied about that.' Most of those things you will have thought of, some make no sense, but there will be a couple of gems in there that you might not have thought of - new lines of attack, and that's extraordinarily powerful." "Our goal is to get to a point where the AI yields a work product that's like 80% or 90% there."

You can attend a service and leave exactly the same person who walked in. Or you can have an encounter. And when you have an encounter with God — you don't walk out the same. You don't talk the same. You don't see the same. You don't carry the same things you carried when you walked through the door.
