What you're seeing in the video is polyurethane foam, the same type of foam we commonly use for filling gaps around doors and windows. It may look like ordinary foam, but this thing is actually one of the most useful construction inventions of our time. One of the reasons is its versatility. In construction, polyurethane foam is used for filling gaps, sealing joints, insulating spaces, fixing and sealing around doors and windows, and helping to reduce air and moisture movement where properly specified. You will see it especially around door frames, window frames, pipes and other areas where there are small gaps that need to be sealed. But polyurethane foam is not only a construction material. It is used in furniture, automobiles, refrigeration, appliances, packaging, footwear, mattresses, insulation and many other industries. That's the interesting thing about some construction materials. You may see one small can of foam being used to fill a gap, but the same basic material technology is solving completely different problems in different industries. And because it expands after application, a small amount can fill a relatively large void. #Architecture #Construction #BuildingMaterials #Arcfunmi

I tested the new material, TPU Aero! It exceeded my expectations. It has excellent support and elasticity, a softer texture than foam, and weighs less. It is merely 50–80g heavier than hand-carved foam. The only drawback is its high material price.

Polyurethane foam is great for leveling concrete. As the foam is injected under the concrete, it moves and expands. As the foam expands it fills any holes, cracks, and crevices beneath the concrete slab. Once voids are filled, the foam begins to lift the sunken concrete.

Cutting open a pair of custom silver Grants to inspect the internal padding. You can see the multi-density setup here a soft white foam core layered with dense blue and dark grey foam inserts for high-impact protection.

One of the first AgiBot X2 humanoid robots just landed in our lab 🤖 I like its articulated neck, back handle, battery location, anthropomorphic wrist and white soft cover in a sort of Polyurethane foam. Impressive delivery speed and support from the AGIBOT team!

Amazing Construction material solution. Ground beef is part of the construction system of @fetdeterra It is a modern solution for wrought, deeply rooted in construction tradition, that combines the use of earth as the main material with a design designed to efficiently integrate into contemporary systems. In addition to the intrinsic qualities of the material, it stands out for its natural texture and a warm and elegant earthy tone, which brings character and aesthetic coherence to the constructive set. High density residential "auto grow" zones are in! Lots of new blueprints. Concrete construction assets will come later. And yes, the game is on Steam!
