Other than building too close to a volcano, I suppose

And yet we can't get a friggin road to last more than 2 weeks, as a species, we're fucked.

Smart urban design, sure—but not smart enough to repent. Advanced streets don’t matter when the judgment of God buries your city in ash. Jesus said it best: unless you repent, you will all likewise perish (Luke 13:3).

Maybe location was not ideal
