@PontypoolRFC @NewportRFC This is what a local derby does for Welsh club rugby. Amazing supporter turnout by both sides. There was no room in the stand and only shoulder space around the white pitch side ring. I've not seen a crowd this large at the Park 🇾🇪 for a long, long time. Made the day 👏👏👏👏

Thinking back this week... Feb 3, 1959, I was playing hooky from high school with several friends, driving from Winnipeg to Fargo to see Buddy Holly, Richie Valens & The Big Bopper. Early that morning as we were getting near the US border, they announced that the plane had crashed and no one survived. We pulled over to the side of the road, cried and turned around. A few years later I was in the band Chad Allan & The Reflections and we recorded our first record, “Tribute to Buddy Holly”. Here's a bit of it live for you to hear. We later recorded “Shakin All Over” and our name was changed to The Guess Who. Since then I’ve played the Surf Ballroom several times which is where their last gig was. I also sat at the same table with Maria Elina Holly at a celebration night in Nashville honouring Buddy. It was an honour. A treasured piece of gear in my home studio is an Ampex PreAmp from Norman Petty’s studio in Clovis New Mexico that recorded Buddy Holly and the Crickets. Great talents gone too soon. Fortunately their music and legacy lives on. #rocknroll #buddyholly #remember #music #throwback

Probably one of the coolest moments we have had in the field…stumbling upon wolf pups sleeping at the entrance of their den which was a huge old beaver lodge. On this particular day in early May, we were searching clusters of GPS-locations from a collared wolf in this pack to find where it had killed prey. The wolf was a subordinate male wolf and had only spent a few hours on the edge of this beaver meadow so we assumed he was just resting here. I.e., there were no indications, based on the wolf’s movements, that this was a den. We hiked along the meadow edge for a bit and as we got close to where the GPS-locations from the wolf were, an uncollared wolf popped up out of the grass by the lodge about 50 meters away and ran into the forest. That seemed far too coincidental…what are the odds that the GPS-collared wolf had been in this spot a few days ago and now, when we arrive there was a different wolf here. As a result, we immediately started to think the lodge could be a den. We approached the lodge and pulled out our phone to record what we observed. We rounded a side of the lodge, approached the entrance, and we found these 4 pups sounds asleep. What a wild few moments. Of course, we thought this was especially interesting, in part, because the wolves were using a massive beaver lodge—i.e.., the home of one of their primary summer prey—as a den to raise their pups, which then would go onto to hunt and kill beavers as adults.

What really happened yesterday? Did an actual demon manifest at the school? Let’s set the record straight. God is real. And so is the devil. There is a spiritual realm that cannot be seen with the natural eye. Spiritual warfare isn’t just around us — it is part of our lives. Here’s what happened. Yesterday we arrived at a public high school, checked in at the front office, and walked toward the gymnasium. Hundreds of students began lining up as we handed out pizza and prepared for lunch. The student leaders opened the club in prayer and handed me the microphone. I began sharing my testimony and preaching the gospel. Almost instantly I sensed the presence of the Lord in the room. It became so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Finally it was time for the response. Students began streaming to the front of the bleachers to surrender their hearts to Jesus. Then suddenly — a loud scream echoed across the entire gym. One of the girls who had responded to the gospel began to manifest as she walked forward. Our team of girls immediately surrounded her. They prayed for her. Loved on her. Held her. And she was completely set free and delivered! The power of God is real! Why? Because Jesus is alive! This is what separates Christianity from every other religion. This isn’t just good vibes, good energy or good music. This is the presence of the one true living God! Then, this morning I woke up to a text saying one of the faculty members at the school is demanding we take the video down. Friends, we are currently involved in three lawsuits. I’ve had Antifa protesters attempt to attack me while preaching. My younger brother no longer speaks to me because of my Christian beliefs. I’ve given my life for the sake of the gospel being proclaimed! WE WILL NEVER BACK DOWN. Jesus will receive the glory and the reward for His suffering. Would you pray for me and our team as we decide what comes next? PS: In the last few years we’ve preached in nearly 60 public schools across multiple states and seen thousands of students surrender their lives to Jesus. It’s clear we are living in a divine window of time in America. A window for revival and awakening!

He told them he had a birth certificate, and Social Security number, at his home in Austin that he could provide. And they deported him anyway. According to his lawyers, the government deported Brian in April after a police stop near Fredericksburg. His citizenship was questioned, and ICE treated him as someone who had entered the country illegally. Except he was born in the United States. His lawyers later submitted additional evidence, including hospital records, witness affidavits, and a certified Colorado birth record confirming his citizenship. And now, months after the government wrongfully deported him, Brian has finally been allowed to come home. A U.S. citizen had to SUE the federal government, and produce an overwhelming amount of documentation, just to get back into the country he was born in. And this is exactly why the argument that “if you’re a citizen, you have nothing to worry about,” is absolute bullshit. Because what happens when the people with the guns and badges decide they don’t believe you? What happens when saying, “I’m an American citizen…” isn’t enough? What happens when you have to produce your birth certificate, your Social Security number, hospital records and witnesses… and even THAT doesn’t stop the government from deporting you? So, when DHS say, “We won’t deport citizens.” They already have. Brian is proof. And the most terrifying part is that he was lucky enough to have lawyers who could fight like hell to get him back. Helen is a cow who has been blind since birth. She spent 19 years completely alone on a dairy farm, surrounded by nothing but four walls and silence. She had never felt the warmth of the sun, heard the wind, or had a friend. On May 7, the day after her 19th birthday, Helen was rescued and taken to a sanctuary. At first, she stood perfectly still, listening carefully to every sound around her, trying to determine whether she was finally safe. Her caregivers created a special space just for her, with a soft bed, gentle shade, and wind chimes hung throughout the pasture so she could navigate by sound. Over time, Helen learned to recognize the voices of the people caring for her. She gradually gained the confidence to step outside, explore her surroundings, and soon fell in love with a grooming brush near the entrance. Every evening, she would stand beneath the wind chimes, brush herself, and quietly listen to their gentle ringing. Schumer: This is not the art of the deal. This is the art of surrender. Trump didn’t get peace through strength; he got payoff through weakness. Americans got almost nothing we wanted and needed, and Trump gave away the store. The Iranians took him to the cleaners. Look what they’re getting. They got more control of the Strait. They’re getting a $300 billion payoff. We Democrats are not going to vote for it. No one should vote for it. This money should be used at home, where it’s needed to reduce people’s costs, not as a payoff to the Iranians. The Iranians still have their missiles. Oil prices and gas prices will stay higher for a long time. Basically, Iran got just about everything it wanted, and we got nothing. So the bottom line is that this is a fiasco. It’s a disaster. Trump proved himself to be a terrible negotiator, and it’s obvious why. He never knew why he entered the war to begin with. He never told the American people. He never told the world. And it’s probably because he was worried about the Epstein files and his bad record on health care and costs. He wanted to divert attention, but he had no aim, no goals, and as a result, America and the world suffered from one of the worst deals that Trump has ever put together—one of the worst deals that we’ve ever seen in United States foreign policy. Everything ought to be made public. Secret side deals—knowing Trump—are probably even worse than what he’s made public already. It is so bad that even Republicans who cringe and knock their knees before criticizing Trump have no choice but to say what a bad deal this is.

Just found this write up on Liverpools Boys Pen from 1/2 So the boys who attended Liverpool’s home matches finally had a place they could call home. But it was far from a welcoming home and the kids who supported visiting teams knew better than to go in there. Robbie Ashcroft, who spent many a match watching his team from this vantage points recalls: “The kids who went on the Boys’ Pen were hard. You had to be a survivor even to queue up. You could not show fear. Fear would be pounced on. There were no away fans but the number of scraps before, during and after the match was scary. The Kop was warm and friendly - the Boys’ Pen was angry, aggressive and mean.” Neal Dunkin, author of “Anfield of Dreams” which recounted his life as a Liverpool supporter as both boy and man, described it as a “nest of vipers”. Musician and big LFC fan Peter Hooton remembers that while “The Kop was an all-welcoming society, The Pen – a caged jungle - was a holding ground for frustrated juveniles and sometimes a lonely place for newcomers”. The Pen was also once described as “a horrible place and the inspiration for ‘Lord of the Flies’”. Robbie Ashcroft describes the Pen as “a transit camp to Heaven” and “a rite of passage for any Liverpool kid in the 60s”. He also recalls that “The tradition in the Boys’ Pen was to get in early, try to get to the front and then, if you were hard enough, try to escape. For 3 years AFCM23 said they’d rather negotiate but Tshisekedi promised he would terminate AFCM23 … he therefore contracted FDLR, Burundian Army, Romanian Mercenaries, SADC forces - especially SA National Defence Force 🇿🇦, who recently departed from their last positions (they had already lost Goma) as Tshisekedi never paid them… which is why M23 had to keep battling till they eventually took Goma and Bukavu … so finally CNN came.. hadn’t M23 taken Goma, they wouldn’t have come… (journalism is dead) they would had keeping repeating unverified “reports”. - those unverified reports Larry Madowo repeats them in his documentary yet … his footage shows the opposite. Like the extreme “human rights” abuses … yet his footage show a booming population in Goma where life obviously seems more normal than in many other places in DRC - interesting though to let AFCM23 Corneille Nangaa declaring it himself “he doesn’t need Rwanda’s‘backing” … and Madowo reminds that M23 had already taken Goma 2012… M23 commanders have way more experience than Tshisekedi’s patchwork of an army, which is why he’s been contracting foreign mercenaries and foreign armies who had no clue where they’d be battling while the M23 is home. - another unverified claim: he interviews Rwandan returnees, formerly refugees, at the border who are facilitated to go back to back to their homeland, and cites HR reports that were forced to go back… the one in the footage says clearly “happy to go home… which she didn’t even know as she was born in Congo..” Well Madowo could have explained that these people are the families of the FDLR, a genocidal force which stems from the defeated Genocidal Army and militias that fled to Congo (then Zaire) in 1994. Identified by Tshisekedi as the most serious combatants, he had had given FDLR all possible means and told them he’d support them to overthrow Rwanda’s government. And it is exactly thanks to the take of Goma and Bukavu by the M23 that FDLR got inflicted severe losses which persuaded their families that it was time to simply go back to their homeland instead of wandering in the jungle of DRC. - Madowo speaks about the Washington agreements between Rwanda and DRC… and asks Nangaa about it, who rightfully responds that AFCM23 wasn’t involved in that agreement… why didn’t he ask about Doha? That’s what involves those he’s interviewing … Though, interestingly he said Tshisekedi promised “mines” to Trump, for Nangaa to respond: “Tshisekedi has no mines to offer! He’s a crook”. Madowo to Nangaa: “are you suggesting that president Tshisekedi is manipulating president Trump with minerals?” Nangaa: “this is what he’s trying to do.” Well Tshisekedi has already the reputation of a being swindler, not honoring his commitments, even when he signs at the bottom of the page. Ah… then Madowo comes with the claims of “humanitarian operations that were severely disrupted because of the violence” … yet he films market places obviously operating normally and shows Goma which definitely looks “very normal”. “Humanitarian operations” is also a western business model, “Alms Dealers”. Recognizing the danger to both the driver and passing motorists, he immediately pulled in behind the vehicle and activated his emergency lights to protect the scene. The driver’s vehicle had completely lost power, leaving her stranded in the traffic lane. Thanks to a little mechanical know-how and a willingness to help, he was able to restore power and get the driver safely on her way. A resident recently tagged the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and shared this after a stressful situation on Parker Road: “Douglas County Sheriff's Office for the win today! My car died with no power in a main lane of traffic today on Parker Road. I could not turn on my hazards because there was no power. It was very stressful because people were screaming and yelling at me, flipping me off and honking at me. Finally, Deputy Castillo stopped and got under the hood of the car and played with the battery and all the connections and was able to get my car started. I'm so very grateful for Deputy Castillo." A Muslim woman was attacked with a glass bottle. Walking home from work through Glasgow city centre. Alone. Just past midnight. Four men surrounded her. One smashed a bottle over her head. They told her to take off her hijab. They called her a dirty P**i. They told her this was their country, and to go home. She wears hijab. That's why she was a target. There's a word for using violence to terrorise people for who they are. They'll use it about us. They won't use it about this. A taxi driver saw it. He shouted for someone to call 999. He pulled her into his car. She was shaking, saying "oh my god", in shock. She went to hospital. She needed stitches. Then Police Scotland gave their account. A disturbance involving a group of youths. The youths had made off. No one required medical treatment. They called them youths. We call them men who terrorised a woman. This isn't an isolated incident anymore. It's a pattern. Last month in Edinburgh, five Muslim men were attacked with a machete after leaving prayers at Broomhouse Mosque. The man charged faces ten terrorism-linked offences. Every charge carries a terrorist connection. This week on Renfield Street, a woman was struck with a bottle for wearing a hijab. And it became a disturbance. Each incident gets reported as a standalone story. Local news. Move on. But zoom out and the pattern is unmistakable. And it falls hardest on women. 1 in 5 Muslim women have experienced a hate incident in the last year. 80% never report it. Hate aimed at Muslim women is more likely to carry sexual aggression than hate aimed at men. On our own platform, we documented 70 anti-Muslim incidents in May. In June: 105. A 50% rise in a single month. Still no COBRA meeting. Still no renewed hate crime action plan. The last one expired in 2020. Still the funding we were promised comes with strings. Criticise the government, and it can be pulled. Homes. Families. Places of worship. Vehicles. All of it under attack, from every angle. The bottle on Renfield Street wasn't thrown in a vacuum.
