had a thought recently about what US tank development would look like without the T5/M3 and T6/M4 best guess is that you'd end up with something like the M7

I still believe they should have deployed at least a company of M6s. Not for any good reason, I just think any tank that had co-ax 37mm, & dual 50 cal hull guns deserves a shot.

Untrue, they also fat shamed the jumbo to the protest of the army who wanted far more than the initial 254 of the test run.
