Populist election promises vs. the cold reality. This government’s a case study in the making. This was from early September. Who’s getting the commission now?

TBH I don’t think the NPP voters care as much as the people who voted for another party now do. Ask the NPP voters and they are simply happy to pay higher taxes to AKD than pay lower taxes under RW.

Even if they do care, they must find it highly embarrassing to voice an opinion. At least most of them.

Everyone is now blind and deaf with the euphoria created by false promises . But the froth and bubble won’t last very long at the rate these guys are going!

Lol these liars and LOL their voter base 😂

🤣🤣🤣 Post-election amnesia

Political honeymoon in Sri Lanka has always been very short. It has been so with all the previous governments. This is no exception. We are nation always voted for the freebies. NPP leadership may have good intentions but reality is so different

As long as the public don't care whether political parties realize their promises, parties will keep on lying. The public holds the responsibility to put an end to it. There is no other way.

It’s Downright Stupid to Criticise, Just for the Sake of It! Asking Questions for which None has Answers, Shows the Muddy Depths from Which Such Comes from, Especially, When there are Much More Important & Pertinent Issues to be Dealt with!?!?

Commenting on X won’t make a difference. NPP has its plans and will likely implement them successfully. RW had the chance to do better, but like most politicians, they aim to hold onto power for life. With the current changes, it’s wiser to retire and Njoy the remaining yrs.
