That's the one! This is the clip I wanted to identify. Holy cow.. This piece by Charli xcx is the most dissonant thing I think I've ever heard, that still comes together as cogent. For a lot of listeners it probably requires familiarizing with the Deftones sound palette, to be preconditioned to such chaos sounding normal & pleasing. Someone who's never acclimated might be aurally confused. It partially reminds me of Skrillex techniques where samples are introduced abruptly, but in this case the samples are real instrumentation, and the tone is somber and lumbering. In the studio I totally think they had access to the Deftones sound palette, every thing about 'House' reminds me of Deftones tropes. Normally I'd be offended by too much similarity, but this is such a good approximation. I never thought more about Charli xcx since 'Fancy', but this is showing some thoughtful artistry. The video gives quite a mood as well.
