This cell phone video was shot by mutual aid line workers from out-of-state in Houston to help restore power, and shared with The Weather Channel. This is an example of some of the violence against the line workers being seen around Houston. Houston Police arrested a 38-year-old man for pulling a gun on some of the line workers.

China has turned drones into “maintenance workers” flying alongside high-voltage power lines. Instead of shutting down the line or sending workers to climb and manually deal with objects caught on the wires, Chinese power crews use multi-rotor drones equipped with directed flames to burn plastic bags, kites, nets, and other flammable objects stuck on the lines.

Today is a historic day for workers in Canada. The NDPs anti-scab legislation, that gives power back to workers - has passed third reading in Parliament. Now, workers have the power to fight for the respect they deserve. To the workers, unions, and labour activists who fought for this - thank you.

Today, ACP IL stood shoulder to shoulder with the Teamsters on the picket line, showing unwavering solidarity with workers striking against Amazon. The struggle continues, but so does our commitment to standing with those who power our communities.
