This was my FIRST time on a mini ex. My good buddy flew into TN & laughed at me the whole time. Worth a watch with sound on. To answer the question: If I were getting into this “grading driveways” as a side hustle gig, I’d rent a mini ex from a local rental place first (they’re everywhere). Practice on your driveway or in your backyard first. One thing I learned with ZERO experience operating these 6 yrs ago: the best way to learn to use them is to just… “get in the seat and do it”. Practice until you’re comfortable, then throw some “I grade driveways and spread gravel. Free estimates” on FB Marketplace. Call the gravel/stone yard, ask how much to deliver per load, add a couple hundred bucks to that per load when you price a job. Go price a few jobs from leads. Rent the size mini ex you need. Probably will need a Cat 303 size for small jobs. And just do it. First few of them you may underprice, or it may take you twice as long as it normally would. But the fact is…practice makes perfect. With each new opportunity you’ll get better and better at it. I would not invest a ton in equipment right off the bat. I’d rent it until enough jobs come in that will fund the purchase of a small mini ex or skid steer.

OPPRESSORS TURN PEOPLE OF COLOUR AGAINST EACH OTHER For centuries, imperialists have sought ways of turning oppressed people against each other. 🎬 New Golf Movie Announcement I’ve just written a new film called Hustlers. It’s the story of a young Texas hotshot known as “Cowboy” Cody Keller, who makes his living hustling unsuspecting players on South Texas munis. When Cody gets taken to the cleaners by a master hustler named Rex, his world changes. Rex takes Cody under his wing and teaches him how the big money hustles really work in Dallas. But once Cody learns the system and goes out on his own, the game turns dangerous. He finds himself deep in trouble with ruthless characters who don’t lose lightly—and want blood. Hustlers isn’t just a movie script—it’s also a novel. My last golf novel, Jack Dagger, debuted at #1 on Amazon in the golf category, and I believe this story has even bigger legs. Most teachers in this country are regularly observed as part of their professional development. Two thirds of teachers do not think this has made a difference to their actual practice. Teachers do not understand the feedback they receive. They do not agree with the feedback they receive. They do not feel willing or capable to implement the feedback they receive. These things are facts, and they are both worrying and upsetting. And none of this is a secret. We all know it, we've all experienced it. When we asked Carousel Teaching users what topics they wanted us to make courses on, the most common response was "how to observe lessons and give feedback." Ben Rice and I are now MAD EXCITED to announce our How To Observe a Lesson and Give Feedback course. It's mega. We filmed a bunch of lessons, and we also filmed me observing those lessons. We deconstruct the science of observations, and the art of giving feedback. It's pretty damn innovative, and we're confident it will help teachers and leaders get better at these critical skills. Severely sleep deprived. Heightened anxiety. OCD kicking hard. Over committed to plans that I WANT to do, yet my body is rebelling. Halp. Here’s some insight into a time consuming, shoulder-breaking, tedious yet necessary daily chore that takes hours - just prepping my birds pellets, grinding them down with a stainless steel muddler, to cater to their preference for smaller pieces. Same pellets will be ignored and kicked out of the cage if given to them as they come packaged. So here I am, dying for sleep, 4am, wanting to cry from exhaustion, and in need of a break to vent. Where else but here 😂 I look like shit. Whatever. Last night in Kawangware, I met this man whom I initially thought was a security guard. After speaking with him, I later came to learn that he is a Nigerian national currently living on the streets. Whenever I meet someone living on the streets, I always take time to engage with them, understand their story, and learn how they ended up there. My goal is always to see how best I can help them rebuild their lives. During our conversation, he shared that he came to Kenya after receiving a promise of sponsorship from his cousin to continue his education here. However, after only two weeks in the country, his cousin who had promised to support him left for the United States without enrolling him in school, leaving him stranded in Kenya. As we continued talking, he explained how he struggled to survive and eventually ended up living on the streets. He has now been on the streets for about two years. In one of the videos I recorded, a lady reached out to me and said she recognized him. According to her, they once lived in the same apartment building. She narrated how the man had been in a relationship with a lady who allegedly took everything he owned. This incident deeply affected him, pushing him into depression and eventually to the streets. The man also shared that at one point he worked in Dubai, where he used to send money back home to support his parents in Nigeria. However, when he later returned home, he claims he discovered that he had been deceived by the very people he trusted. He gave me his parents’ contact, although we were not able to fully hear their side of the story. Currently, his travel documents have expired, and he expressed that his biggest wish is to renew them so that he can return home to Nigeria and start life again. I offered to use my platform to help fundraise for the renewal of his documents, as he personally requested. He also asked if I could help him secure any form of work so that he could at least sustain himself as he waits to regularize his documents. However, after spending time with him and assessing his situation, it became clear to me that he urgently needs mental health support, as he appears to be struggling with depression. I therefore decided that the following morning I would take him to a private rehabilitation center where professionals could assess him and offer the help he needs. After we agreed on this plan, I took him to a hotel where he could spend the night safely. I paid for his room and food, intending to pick him up the following morning and take him for rehabilitation. Unfortunately, later in the morning I received a call from the hotel attendant informing me that although the man had slept well, he left the guest house very early in a hurry. Later reports indicated that he had been seen back on the streets. Since then, efforts to locate and rescue him have not been successful. I am informed that he rarely accepts help from people, which makes the situation even more challenging. If anyone happens to see or locate him, please kindly contact me through +254707946783 so that we can assist him, take him for rehabilitation, and help facilitate his return to his home country. I am also appealing to his fellow Nigerians living in Kenya, those back in Nigeria, and well-wishers both in Kenya and abroad come through for him and support the effort to give this man a second chance in life. Sometimes, all someone needs is a small opportunity and a caring community to stand with them. Let us help him find his way back home.

I'm sorry for the pause but regularly scheduled programming, but notice what exercise these grannies are doing at 89/91? Yup, the deadlift. The fitness industry is full of snake oil, but one of the biggest deceptions is discouraging the basic compound movements of deadlift and squat. The number of times I've heard the deadlift isn't worth the risk/reward, how it's going to mess up your back etc. No, the deadlift is what makes your back strong as you age. The biggest change to your body is that you start losing muscle mass, your bones have less and less support, including your spine. The deadlift puts an iron rod of muscle around your spine. I've had aches and pains around my back for more than a decade---regular weekly deadlift and squat fixed all of it. I haven't had so much as a tweak since I started lifting heavy. Here is me at 41, lifting 375 at 165lbs. We saw Christopher Waller lift the same at 67. This is what will help you age comfortably, not some random new fitness trend. With all that, you need good form. Get a trainer, practice light over and over again, and only when it's comfortable should you start loading it up. Everyone's *good form* will look a bit different, e.g., my back looks rounder than some others', but this what is more comfortable than a straight back for me. Once you have that down, you'll have the best anti aging hack out there.

this wasn’t just an all night bender in toronto with bill murray.. let me give you some backstory. i’m always trying to keep it real with you guys and im fortunate that I get to make music and throw parties for my job… but film is my passion as well .. im a proper film school dropout & I never got past being a PA on movies like national treasure part 2 (the only movies they filmed in philly) but regardless . I got an opportunity to help produce this badass film with bill Jennifer Coolidge Gabrielle Union pete & many more talented people… and it was already perfect . it’s just cool to be part of great team like Canopy Media and to get to go to the premiere and then rage all night with bill murray back to back dj sets. bill is a national treasure and can outlast any of you at a rave.. it’s been proven … Riff Raff only in theaters February 28 💕✌️
