It was hilarious when Ken Griffey Jr stole an easy catch from his father. Sr. has the perfect footwork, glove up, two hands ready to catch...Jr. steals it with ease. So natural. Also, I think an under appreciated aspect of this is that this wasn’t done during a blowout win or loss.. they were down by 1 in the 9th with runners on base Oh yea, and the hitter was Sammy Sosa

Life has quietly changed for me in the most unexpected ways. Last year we visited a woodland in Devon with a small 2 bedroom thatched cottage hidden down a long track. Never did I think that a year later we would have moved in and be calling it our home. Right before we moved, and shortly after my last post, I also fell pregnant. I’ve never felt especially maternal and, although it wasn’t an accident, stepping into motherhood hasn’t come entirely naturally to me. I’ve given myself time in the garden (no surprise there) to arrive at this new chapter gently. I think I’ve found my footing now - we’re less than two months away - though I know it’s only the beginning of the journey. To everyone who messaged during this quiet period asking where I’d gone, thank you. And thank you for your patience while I’ve been finding my way through it all. So here begins a whole new adventure. One I can’t wait to share - full of gardens, nature, and the fullest kind of life.

Maybe some coaches will chime in on this…. But this is how I’m seeing it right now. I think you’re going to see more and more two way guys coming on the scene in college baseball. Here is why. The rosters are going down to 34 man rosters. You will be needing 2-4 guys who can eat up an inning or two and be able to produce in the field and at the plate. Those numbers may be even higher than that. Years ago when a college told you- you can two way, it typically meant we are brining you in, youll have a short leash and your most likely going to be a PO. Now it’s a legit thing. Schools will need much more versatility- If you can pitch and hit AND play multiple spots on the field. Your stock will rise this year and years beyond. It’s just a matter of can you develop both and do both safely with the load on the arm. Bobcats open on the 13th at home!!! #slammarcos #baseball #twowayplayer #beisbol #pitcher

What’s Behind the Trees I run local trails and dirt paths to explore. I don’t hit a pace target at my age anymore…not that there’s anything wrong with that. Remember. I’m training for life. But I love to explore new areas. I leave time to get lost and to find out what’s actually out there. The result has been a strange and consistent surprise — some of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen are actually within a few miles of my house. Quiet creek crossings, ridgelines with views, and an amazing dam and waterfall (see below) I didn’t know existed. There’s a road I travel often only 100’ from the dam, yet you can’t see it and I’d driven past it for years without ever knowing what sat behind the trees. Although… my propensity to get lost on trails did get me in trouble in Costa Rica 😮‍💨…. And almost shot in rural Colorado. 😫 I would never have found any of it from the road. I found it because I was moving slowly enough to notice and far enough from any trailhead to be somewhere many people don’t go. There’s a lesson in this that applies well beyond running. The interesting stuff is almost never on the main path. It’s a quarter mile off the obvious route, down a trail nobody told you about. You have to be willing to be a little lost, a little uncertain about where the loop closes, a little later getting home than you planned. Endurance training gives you the engine to do that. An hour or two of easy aerobic work isn’t a sacrifice… it’s the mechanism... It’s what lets you wander far enough from the car to find the place worth finding. Go explore where you live (Except for a certain trail in Costa Rica and some rural roads in Colorado). You don’t know it as well as you think you do.

It’s how she gained the name ginger queen so I know the older fans know what I’m talking about. I think she calmed down because she’s not on the hunt anymore, she got the girl, and only her need to secure her claim, or protect her love brings the old ginger out. I think Freen is her top priority, so she’s very careful what she shares with the public because some ppl have proven to be untrustworthy with the girl’s love so she chooses to only share it with those she trust. I think she finally answered the question for two reasons. First,one too many ppl were teasing she didn’t love Freen causing Freen to sulk and Rebecca can’t have that. Second, it’s Nam who asked her.
