It accepts a URL, an 11-character ID, or a free-text query. It runs ytsearch5 with dead-video tolerance and normalizes the audio to 24 kHz mono PCM. → voice_clone_synthesize: Wraps ElevenLabs IVC + timestamps. The voice ID is cached by reference SHA. Per-character alignment comes through the same audio call at no extra cost. → voice_clone_cleanup: Frees the cached voice ID after render so orphan voices do not accumulate. ———— 4- Render: Hermes had no built-in video-render entry. So we added the final render tool: → noustiny_storybook: The agent dispatches it as the final step of the chain. One tool call drives the FastAPI render service end to end and emits the mp4. ———— 5- Skills: 13 generic Hermes skills added into skills/creative/: The branching engine in Noustiny works like a council of narrative skills. The E. Jean Carroll case against President Trump is one of the strangest civil cases in American history. When you systematically destroy a defendant’s ability to retain counsel of choice, you forfeit the right to a legitimate verdict. An allegation is not evidence. Process without substance is not law. And a verdict produced under these conditions carries no legitimate authority — whatever its formal status. America's emergency oil is nearly gone, and it can never be fully refilled. The Strategic Petroleum Reserve fell to 298.7 million barrels this week, the lowest level since 1983. It dropped 6.1 million barrels in a SINGLE week. Against an authorized capacity of 714 million barrels, the reserve is now roughly 42% full. It held about 415 million barrels before the US and Israel attacked Iran on February 28. Iran moved to choke off the Strait of Hormuz, which carried nearly 20% of the world's oil, and a 172 million barrel release was authorized in March. Every outlet covering this is counting barrels. But the barrel count is the LEAST important number here... The reserve has no tanks anywhere in it. It is 60 caverns dissolved out of salt domes thousands of feet beneath Texas and Louisiana, at sites like Bryan Mound and Bayou Choctaw. To get the oil out, operators pump fresh water into the bottom of each cavern. The water is heavier, so it floats the crude up and out through the wells. But fresh water dissolves salt on its way to saturation. So every withdrawal eats the walls of the container. Siddharth Misra, a petroleum engineering professor at Texas A&M, said that the process leaves a "flatter, less stable roof" and "severely thins the critical salt pillars that separate adjacent caverns, greatly increasing the geological risk of a structural cave-in." The oil can be bought back at any price but nobody can put the dissolved salt back. The reserve was engineered for FIVE full drawdowns across its entire service life. It has literally executed dozens of releases in 40 years. Misra says that left "severe cavern deformation, accelerated the rate of massive salt falls from the ceilings, and significantly weakened the overall structural integrity of the aging reserve." Sandia National Laboratories has advised the reserve on salt since 1980. Its modelling now tells operators one cavern has three drawdowns left, another has five, and a third can NEVER be used again once emptied. One Sandia engineer summed the whole problem up by saying geology takes over and engineering stops mattering. Energy Department officials told the Government Accountability Office they are holding the reserve's infrastructure together with "Band-Aids," and that it is uncertain how long they will hold. Those same auditors found more than a quarter of the inventory was unavailable for drawdown as of December, because of construction and cavern outages. So the 298.7 million on paper is not what anyone can reach in a crisis. The number that matters more than the total: Misra says 70 million barrels is the hard floor that keeps the extraction pipes submerged in oil rather than water. The practical operating floor sits between 250 and 300 million barrels, and below 300 million the reserve loses its ability to pump at high speed. The entire point is moving crude to refineries fast. Below that line it still holds oil, it just cannot deliver on the timeline an emergency runs on. America is sitting at 298.7 million barrels. The announced release is expected to take it to roughly 243 million. Rapidan Energy puts the real floor closer to 170 million. Auditors did find most caverns in very good condition after the 2022 drawdown, and a former State Department energy envoy said he is not worried about another one. But the same report says every drawdown cycle expands cavern volume and shrinks the spacing between caverns, reducing their long term viability. The reserve was built in 1975 so one embargo could never hold the country hostage again. It has since been used as a routine price management tool, by both parties, dozens of times more than it was built to survive. Small adjustments in speed and angle separate the players who are starting to read patterns from the ones still flying in straight lines. It looks sharp in motion too. The HDR makes explosions, laser fire, and environmental effects stay readable even when everything is happening at once. The sound design helps just as much in the chaos. Clear engine roar, distinct lock-on warnings, and impact feedback that cuts through the orchestral score so you can react to what is actually dangerous. The accolades system adds another layer without turning into a grind. It rewards the behaviours that make the mode interesting: smart objective play, power-up denial, aggressive but calculated lines through the map. In 2026 a lot of competitive modes assume they need constant new content and huge map pools just to hold attention. Star Fox Battle Mode is testing the opposite idea. A small set of dense, hostile playgrounds with short intense rounds and real skill expression can stay fresh longer than another bloated live service shooter that nobody ever truly masters. My Thoughts on R2 after my time with it! Short review! First, Rivian completely nailed this thing. I love the positioning of the driver seats. That long front nose gives a nice commanding feel. They will sell each and every one of these! Driving impression/suspension: 9/10 I felt the vehicle has good build quality. It felt *tight* and secure. Power delivery was smooth and crisp in all-purpose. Sport mode fella unlocked and ready for all the fun things. Power is rapid and consistent with a full power moment around 35-40mph, all the power is there. There is a good amount of nose rise during a hard acceleration. But I do feel the suspension was working well to control this. Remember this isn’t an air suspension. It’s a coil suspension. There is a difference between the suspension setting soft was SOFT. Firm was stiff but not overly stiff. It didn’t have that bouncing effect that some vehicles can have when going into firm suspension. Moderate was a good balance. I wish it could be more adaptive in moderate but it’s very very good. Turn in was good, and the turning radius was excellent. Switching from D to R for a 3-point turn was smooth and quick, no jerkiness. Very good control over entrance to parking lots. Stable. Lastly, it feels like the small delay some R1 have in throttle is gone with R2. Software: 8/10 This is where you guys know I am hard on them on. Because I want the best they can give. Rivian OS2.0 is a HUGE upgrade over R1. In all cases. Responsiveness, touch input, speed, app switching, keyboard responsiveness, etc., it is a huge difference. I love the new “fish stick” bar. And settings being available with one tap and being app-dependent first is fantastic. Well done Wassym Bensaid, the halo are great. The only thing about them is while driving, it’s hard to get a direct click, especially when trying to use it to switch drive modes where you have to push towards you. The halo likes the spin/move, but I think I just need to get used to it. Living with it would for sure help with that. I’m really hoping they fully unlock customization for them. You can end up with 8 different characters you could adjust. I really like having the driver display. But driving with it, you can notice how much smaller it is compared to R1. It’s no deal breaker, but it’s noticeable. Cameras felt snapper and of higher quality over Gen 2 R1. The turn signal sounds is new I like it as well as the forward and Evers noise it makes. Think Tesla sound when shifting. Audio: Now I’ve experienced R2 3x now. With 2 times with audio. The audio was significantly better than when I got to sit it in, in Miami for a block party. It’s about as good as R1 is now. There did feel like a sub was there. That’s great. I used my Apple Music account so I could listen to the song I love. And it was great. Not perfect but good enough. Long as it’s comparable to R1, it’s okay. Cabin: It was very well appointed. I actually found it sufficiently quiet. 🤫 I think for sure it’s quieter than my R1T without question. The HVAC system design (air vent) I like better than R1. I feel like the HVAC system now can blow the air on better than trying to. I need more time to test preconditioning because that’s where I’ve seen most of the issues with my R1 vehicles. Tons of space, easy to drop the seats, it’s flat, and nice under-floor space. The 1-touch drop for all windows was excellent. Overall: I think this is the Rivian everyone has been waiting for. This will be a fantastic one-car solution for so many families. There is storage for days, off-road abilities a Model Y can’t even think of doing, but the UHF needs to improve quicker than it currently is because that is really becoming a buying decision for people. The Giant American Manta Ray The Manta Ray is, without exaggeration, the most fascinating underwater drone ever built. Since I’ve been talking a lot about the seas lately and new Chinese technologies, it’s worth remembering that the United States is finalizing tests on something truly groundbreaking. Imagine a metal manta ray with a 14-meter wingspan and weighing nearly 30 tons that can be launched from any pier in the world and then simply disappears for months, or even years without ever needing a mother ship, refueling, or a crew. It glides through the ocean in absolute silence, carrying tons of sensors, mines, torpedoes, and electronic warfare equipment. It can hibernate on the seabed when it wants to save energy and surface when it needs to receive orders via satellite. This giant can deploy smaller units connected by fiber-optic cables or using acoustic communication. Estimates suggest it could travel 18,000 km or more with solid-state batteries. The secret lies in its hybrid propulsion system: the primary mode is buoyancy-driven gliding. It fills ballast tanks with seawater, dives at an angle, then expels the water and rises, converting vertical motion into horizontal forward movement with almost zero energy consumption most of the time. Only a few minutes of pump operation are needed per cycle. When it needs to maneuver quickly or sprint, it switches to conventional propellers. This combination enables autonomy that can last years, especially because the vehicle has energy-harvesting systems that capture power from the ocean’s thermal gradient (warm surface water, cold deep water) and possibly from ocean currents too. It’s a technological marvel unlike anything we’ve seen before in the military domain. The vehicle is transported in standard shipping containers and can be assembled in the field in just a few days and this means the United States can deploy it anywhere in the world without relying on large naval bases. When it enters operational service (expected between 2028 and 2032), the U.S. Navy will gain a capability far beyond any current UUV. The Manta Ray doesn’t need to return, makes no noise, leaves no logistical trace, and can loiter for extended periods waiting for orders or simply monitoring key routes. But it’s not all smooth sailing. Chinese researchers from Northwestern Polytechnical University claim they have been developing biomimetic manta ray UUVs since 2006, with six prototypes ranging from 10 to 700 kg. According to them, in 2023 a 460 kg prototype successfully passed a 1,025-meter depth test in the South China Sea, and multiple variants have completed 60-day underwater gliding missions. That’s still a much shorter endurance than the American prototype has demonstrated so far, possibly because the objectives aren’t identical. My impression is that these are somewhat different projects. While the Chinese appear to focus mainly on swarm-capable units (with potential applications in underwater reconnaissance, anti-submarine, and anti-ship tasks), the Americans are developing a single large platform optimized for long-term persistent monitoring. The U.S. project is a 30-ton drone; the Chinese ones are 10–700 kg. China also claims that in 2025 it began testing swarms of these vehicles near coral reef areas, suggesting the start of a direct race with the Americans. The fact is that more and more unmanned underwater vehicles are emerging every day, and they will pose a major threat, especially to large manned submarines. A small 100 kg UUV could damage the rudder, propeller, or another critical point of a multi-billion-dollar nuclear submarine. After a series of canceled programs in recent years, the Pentagon desperately needs a big, innovative success like the Manta Ray to reinforce its reputation for effective program management.
