Eleven weeks after Raila Odinga passed, it’s time to stop pretending. We can mourn him yes, the man is gone but mourning doesn’t mean lying about the path he chose. Baba didn’t leave a movement behind. He left deals, alliances, and revenge. He chose President William Ruto over Kenya, his stomach over the people, and his ego over justice for the GenZs. He didn’t fight for the nation; he fought for himself. And the people who believed in him? They became collateral damage in his pursuit of power. He hunted independent minds Sifuna, Miguna, khamisi etc because they refused to kneel. Baba as ODM & Azimio leader betrayed allies who once trusted him. He abandoned principles he preached. Power, influence, and personal gain were the only gods he served in the end. President William Ruto? He exploited it all. Gachagua Vows to Make Ruto a One-Term President Former DP Rigathi Gachagua on Monday swore to do whatever it takes to make President William Ruto a one-term president. Speaking alongside opposition politicians Kalonzo Musyoka and Eugene Wamalwa, Gachagua declared that he will work with all Kenyans to challenge Ruto’s administration and ensure the president doesn’t see a second term in office. Yesterday, I got a call from a senior government official. No formalitiit just a location. A bar near State House Road. That’s where power talks when it can’t breathe behind boardroom curtains. We met. The beers came first, then the roast chicken. But beneath the smiles and the nostalgia of our days as political foot soldiers men who bled loyalty for William Ruto in the fire of 2022 was a deeper truth. A disturbing one. The man looked both excited and broken. You could see it in his eyes. He poured his drink like someone drowning from the inside. Then he said it: "The boss is unteachable." He didn’t mean that casually. He meant power has completely changed William Ruto. That man is no longer who we stood with. Arrogance has replaced strategy. Insulation has replaced listening. The ground is shaking, but up there, the castle is deaf. People in government are scared not of the opposition, but of their own reflection in the public eye. The lies are catching up. Then he dropped a bomb: "UDA is dead. Mark my words, people will jump this sinking ship when it's too late to rescue it." He said ODM, for all its baggage, is quietly rebranding. While UDA is busy cannibalizing itself with tribal politics, chaos, and infighting. Rigathi Gachagua: I negotiated for 8 positions in a cabinet of 22. I negotiated with the President because of the vote I was bringing in; it was up to him to make the decision. He is the appointing authority. When Raila came, he negotiated for 4 positions for him to support William Ruto. When Ruto sought the support of Raila, he came and demanded cabinet positions and 11 PSs and he was given. Even us to give Ruto support, we demanded certain things. I was a tough negotiator and why people thought I was tribal or too much is because I was insisting on getting what I negotiated for and I was being short-changed #CitizenExplainer

Moureen Kinyua, a blogger from Nyeri and by the time of death in May 2019 was a Secretary to an MCA from Nyeri County. Police reports indicate that Moureen, was killed by a drunk driver in a hit and run incident in Nyeri 6yrs ago. At this time William Ruto was the Deputy President of Kenya and Rigathi Gachagua was the MP of Mathira. Ruto, in a video circulating, he is seen making a call to one Nancy, claimed to be Moureen's mother to condole with her following her daughter's death through an accident. 6 years later, William Ruto now President emerges in a rally and claims that he knows who killed Moureen. He accuses Rigathi Gachagua. My concerns; 1. For 6 years William Ruto has been knowing who killed Moureen and he has been quiet. 2. William Ruto, a whole president, knows who killed a Kenyan and he can't initiate a legal process against that person? 3. William Ruto knew that Gachagua had killed Moureen and he still chose him to be his Deputy President, 3yrs later in 2022? 4. Have the investigative agencies taken up the matter, interrogated the accuser and went on to arrest the alleged perpetrator based on the evidence from the witness (Ruto) on the capital offence of murder? 5. Will Ruto stand in court and testify on the allegations that he has given accusing someone of murder 6 years later! This video summarises all the questions in Kenyans minds. Thoughtfully, William Ruto would be throwing his last kicks as he lands in his political grave. The president might not be MENTALLY upright!

Martha Karua: If you listen to Dr. William Ruto, you would think that he and the late Raila Odinga shared a lot in common but absolutely not, because he stands for something totally different. Even the choreographed group from within ODM, who were only singing praises of the union with the State, seemed to forget that they were at a funeral. Was it a ceremony to endorse the union between ODM and Dr. Ruto or was it the burial of the Right Hon. Raila Odinga? They were trying to make political capital out of it and that is why there was no room for divergent opinions. They could have allowed one or two members from the opposition side to speak. It would also have made sense to give me time to speak as his running mate.

President William Ruto on Monday detailed his fallout with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, attributing their strained relationship to persistent conflicts and a lack of support for government projects. Speaking during a media engagement at Sagana State Lodge as he began his five-day tour of Mt. Kenya region, Ruto stated that Gachagua frequently picked fights with government officials and Members of Parliament, forcing him to intervene multiple times. He accused him of intimidating MPs and refusing to rally behind state programmes. At the funeral of Jacob Juma, Cyrus Jirongo told the mourners how he had witnessed Zakayo kill someone:- "A young man came around and hit my vehicle with an arrow. George Kapten rushed out of the car, pursued the man then pounced on him. We all thought that we had apprehended the man, but that day my friend (Ruto) made me believe he was capable of killing when he strangled him before us.
