President William Ruto thought everyone has a price because his experience taught him that lesson. Before his death, Raila Odinga took the bait. Deals were struck, bridges were built with money, and emissaries were received with respect. That history conditioned Ruto to believe leadership in Kenya is transactional. Cash...

Gachagua Vows to Make Ruto a One-Term President Former DP Rigathi Gachagua on Monday swore to do whatever it takes to make President William Ruto a one-term president. Speaking alongside opposition politicians Kalonzo Musyoka and Eugene Wamalwa, Gachagua declared that he will work with all Kenyans to challenge Ruto’s administration and ensure the president doesn’t see a second term in office. He lashed out at Ruto’s government, calling it a dictatorship and accusing the president of being intolerant. "He wants his way, and all those ministers are just flower girls," Gachagua said, adding that he was the only one who could stand up to Ruto. Gachagua has repeatedly criticized Ruto’s administration since his ouster through impeachment in October 2024. He decried the government as a “one-man show,” claiming ministers have been reduced to mere sycophants. He called on Kenyans to rise against Ruto and warned that any reckless statements made by Ruto or his officials should be documented and forwarded to the International Criminal Court. The former DP has also been forging alliances with political figures he previously opposed. Just recently, he met Martha Karua, the NARC Kenya leader and Raila Odinga’s running mate in 2022, to discuss how they could unite and challenge Ruto’s “dictatorship.” Gachagua’s political future is taking shape through consultative meetings with leaders from different sectors at his Wamunyoro home in Nyeri. In another fiery statement, Gachagua revealed that Mt Kenya could support Western Kenya in the 2027 election, just as they backed Ruto in 2022. He warned that Ruto should not take Western Kenya’s support for granted, and said Mt Kenya could even back Kalonzo Musyoka. Gachagua pointed out that Ruto’s 47% support in Mt Kenya, which contributed to his victory, is now up for grabs and that the region has already started shifting its political allegiance. The former DP also tore into the promises made to Western Kenya, accusing the government of failing to deliver on its pledges, including the promised 1,000 kilometres of tarmacked roads. He was unapologetic, asserting that the region was no longer willing to support a government that does not keep its word.

Yesterday, I got a call from a senior government official. No formalitiit just a location. A bar near State House Road. That’s where power talks when it can’t breathe behind boardroom curtains. We met. The beers came first, then the roast chicken. But beneath the smiles and the nostalgia of our days as political foot soldiers men who bled loyalty for William Ruto in the fire of 2022 was a deeper truth. A disturbing one. The man looked both excited and broken. You could see it in his eyes. He poured his drink like someone drowning from the inside. Then he said it: "The boss is unteachable." He didn’t mean that casually. He meant power has completely changed William Ruto. That man is no longer who we stood with. Arrogance has replaced strategy. Insulation has replaced listening. The ground is shaking, but up there, the castle is deaf. People in government are scared not of the opposition, but of their own reflection in the public eye. The lies are catching up. Then he dropped a bomb: "UDA is dead. Mark my words, people will jump this sinking ship when it's too late to rescue it." He said ODM, for all its baggage, is quietly rebranding. While UDA is busy cannibalizing itself with tribal politics, chaos, and infighting. Raila Odinga, he claims, is playing chess while Ruto's house is burning. 80% he wants Ruto out. 20% he's scouting a soft landing just in case possibly through Kalonzo. But the elephant in the room? Rigathi Gachagua. They fear him. Deeply. Even Raila’s circle isn’t comfortable with the idea of sharing the table with that man. The arrogance, the tribal rigidity, the raw ambition it’s a liability. Then came the blunt truth: “If Raila is to support Ruto in 2027, it will be 50:50 or nothing. And Ruto doesn’t care as long as he wins. Even if Raila gets 60% of the cake.” But here's the problem: the only realistic path to Ruto winning is through rigging. And they all know it. That’s the silent fear not defeat, but exposure. The kind of exposure that not even the deep state can clean. He dropped me at KICC. Quiet. No goodbyes. Just handed me an envelope marked “Confidential”. It had an amount too bold to be a gift and too polite to be a bribe. Call it appreciation or hush money. I won’t reveal the rest. Not now. For my own safety. Time to shave my hair and clean my mind. But remember this: the system is cracking from within and the noise will come from those who once worshipped it.

Moureen Kinyua, a blogger from Nyeri and by the time of death in May 2019 was a Secretary to an MCA from Nyeri County. Police reports indicate that Moureen, was killed by a drunk driver in a hit and run incident in Nyeri 6yrs ago. At this time William Ruto was the Deputy President of Kenya and Rigathi Gachagua was the MP of Mathira. Ruto, in a video circulating, he is seen making a call to one Nancy, claimed to be Moureen's mother to condole with her following her daughter's death through an accident. 6 years later, William Ruto now President emerges in a rally and claims that he knows who killed Moureen. He accuses Rigathi Gachagua. My concerns; 1. For 6 years William Ruto has been knowing who killed Moureen and he has been quiet. 2. William Ruto, a whole president, knows who killed a Kenyan and he can't initiate a legal process against that person? 3. William Ruto knew that Gachagua had killed Moureen and he still chose him to be his Deputy President, 3yrs later in 2022? 4. Have the investigative agencies taken up the matter, interrogated the accuser and went on to arrest the alleged perpetrator based on the evidence from the witness (Ruto) on the capital offence of murder? 5. Will Ruto stand in court and testify on the allegations that he has given accusing someone of murder 6 years later! This video summarises all the questions in Kenyans minds. Thoughtfully, William Ruto would be throwing his last kicks as he lands in his political grave. The president might not be MENTALLY upright!

President William Ruto on Monday detailed his fallout with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, attributing their strained relationship to persistent conflicts and a lack of support for government projects. Speaking during a media engagement at Sagana State Lodge as he began his five-day tour of Mt. Kenya region, Ruto stated that Gachagua frequently picked fights with government officials and Members of Parliament, forcing him to intervene multiple times. He accused him of intimidating MPs and refusing to rally behind state programmes. He criticized Gachagua for failing to publicly defend development projects, saying that when he was Deputy President, he actively promoted government initiatives on television and in public forums. Ruto alleged that Gachagua once demanded Ksh.10 billion for political activities in Mount Kenya and threatened to make him a one-term president. He denied involvement in Gachagua’s impeachment, saying he twice stopped the process but was overruled by MPs, especially from Mt Kenya who were determined to remove him from office. Ruto said the impeachment motion was not his initiative but was pushed by leaders from the region who felt that Gachagua was undermining their political agenda and failing to support government initiatives. He maintained that while he had initially defended Gachagua against impeachment attempts, the mounting pressure from MPs made it impossible to continue shielding him. The President added that even after the fallout, he never personally endorsed the ouster but allowed due process to take its course. Ruto also pointed out that Gachagua’s removal was a result of his own political miscalculations, stating that he had failed to build consensus with leaders and instead engaged in divisive politics.

Intel reveals that Uhuru Kenyatta was rescued from drugs by William Ruto and other leaders like Mwai Kibaki in the 1990s and mentored him into real politics. It is said that Uhuru Kenyatta was a heavy drug abuser while in the US, almost becoming a full addict. Ruto and others went there, rescued him and brought him back to Kenya. Later, he turned his life around, became a good leader and his political journey began. The two remained close friends for a long time until recently. Some people flag them as rivals, but that is not entirely true. Their friendship still exists. It is only political differences that separate them. In 2013, Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto joined forces to form a coalition between URP and The National Alliance (TNA). However, by 2020, Uhuru started ignoring and distancing himself from Ruto due to high commands and accusations of incompetence. Ruto then began his campaigns for the 2022 general elections, moving from village to village, claiming he assisted Uhuru and made him president. Uhuru Kenyatta never responded, as he was told it was true. But because Uhuru is a decisive and respectful man, he did not reply or send goons after him. Ruto continued his campaigns smoothly until he won the 2022 elections. The core of the story is alcohol. Alcohol is not illegal, but the important thing is knowing what you are doing. Uhuru Kenyatta was a heavy drinker but he still delivered a lot of development across Kenya. The media will never tell you this hidden story behind Uhuru Kenyatta.
