There are currently over 4000 detainees, and they do not have the supplies to feed and care for these people. Today we met with detainees including Rodney Taylor to hear from them directly about the conditions in Stewart Detention Center. This detention center is notorious and accounts for the majority of deaths in ICE custody. No corporation should be allowed to profit from caging people with our tax dollars. It’s time to cut any funding for this cruelty especially when our hospitals are shutting down and schools lack critical funding.
