Sure, but the idea of simplifying the appearance of Fortnite, the locker and the shop are all going in the exact opposite direction of simplicity. Equipping cosmetics takes double, if not triple the clicks. The UI is impractical and janky, not to mention the introduction of buttons and drop-down menus that were far easier to access previously. Selecting a skin to rotate it, preview it or even spin it around now requires clicking on it, which then applies it to your loadout. Previously this needed a confirm button so you could preview and choose skins, backblings etc without loosing your currently equipped on if you want to go back. Wraps are not included as part of a character's preset despite being completely relevant to the skin worn. Changing emotes, lobby tracks, and all cosmetics now means you have to back out and change tabs, something that could have previously been done on 1 page. The sectioned tabs make sense with new types like LEGO Kits, Cars, Instruments but there's no need to separate Character from Wraps, Emotes or Lobby. Archiving or Favoriting items can no longer be done in batches or quickly. Previously all you had to do was click once per cosmetic on the button but now you have to enter a drop down and select it for every individual item. Applying wraps to all slots now requires a drop down menu rather than simply clicking the button at the bottom. Swinging a pickaxe or redeploying a glider is near impossible to do and feels like more of a chore to actually accomplish with the drop-down menu. It overlays onto other items meaning as soon as it's clicked the menu vanishes and switches to another cosmetic before the animation can even begin. Cosmetics in the locker can be searched by seasons using "S1-17" but after S18+ they no longer filter. Entering the drop-down menu or right-clicking anything in the locker accidentally immediately takes you all the way back to your currently equipped item when exiting. The filter menu requires an "apply" button to be pressed rather than simply closing and applying when selecting one of the filters, taking longer and more clicks to simply find your recent items or remove a filter. The filter menu was also better as a side panel so you don't have to move your cursor to the center of the screen and back every single time. As a side panel it also allowed for more options to be displayed, whereas the current one requires a huge scroll bar to simply filter by favorite. The presets menu scroll wheel also zooms the skins in and out as you scroll up and down the list. Because of the randomize preset button, the list compared to when saving a preset is all moved up by 1, becoming disorientating to where the preset was in relation to the rows. The shop no longer displays item descriptions or set names on cosmetics - now requiring a click on each individual item when there is adequate space to do so. The new shop and locker appearance can be accustomed to, however, it NEEDS the basic functionality and user-friendly UI elements that the previous ones had. Simple buttons at the bottom to favorite, swing, redeploy and equip. Less tabs to switch between, less clicks required to complete simple tasks and less feeling like there's a battle against the UI itself just to equip the cosmetics you paid for. We appreciate the moves the renew the locker and shop, but in terms of functionality and user interaction, there is nothing we want more than the old one back or the old one's elements merged into the new appearance. LAWSUIT UPDATE 🚨 Day 290 of being under unlawful police investigation after SEGA colluded with City of London Police to raid my home and steal my consoles after SEGA screwed up their clearance process. A human rights lawsuit alleging violations of Articles 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 13 & 14 by SEGA /Fusion85/ City of London Police was filed in March. As of today all three defendants are in default, having not filed a valid acknowledgment of service. Once again, all parties have displayed complete disregard for lawful process in not taking a High Court Human Rights lawsuit seriously. Sega attempted to engage, using a big law firm to try and scare me in to submission by arguing my claim was “totally without merit”, claiming all their fees from me, and filing a witness statement from Daniel Finegold that confirms Lindsay Cox was responsible for the clearance. The same Lindsay who recognised me when I attempted to serve the lawsuit on SEGA in person, video attached. The full extent of that witness statement will be revealed in due course, it tells us A LOT ☕️ The police tried to send an email to the court asking for the claim to be thrown out. I’m at a loss for words with how utterly incompetent civil servants are. This has now backfired catastrophically for City of London Police the full extent of which will be revealed soon ☕️ Fusion85 have remained entirely silent, a default judgement against them will likely follow in due course. A further lawsuit against individual officers will soon be served, alleging amongst others, material non disclosure in the warrant application process. I offered a ceasefire and the opportunity to resolve this situation almost 3 weeks ago, once again it fell on deaf ears, so i’m forced back in to the public to seek justice and accountability for how I have been treated. Apparently City of London Police have made a criminal referral in anticipation of a not guilty plea from myself. No idea what crime i’ve allegedly committed by buying office clearance remnants from a charity sub contractor in good faith. The Sabotaging Practice of Over Supply and Sameness in the NFT Space. The current zeitgeist of the NFT space is that the same artists are doing the same kind of work five times a year, with project after project leaving a trail of disappointment and discontent among collectors and all of us watching in disbelief as huge resources are extracted from the space over work that feels like it could be left as an "artist study." I understand that you can do what you want with your money as collectors, but we are killing the whole space with this incestuous practice. No artist is that prolific to be able to do 5 collections of 100+ pieces each every year and actually deliver innovation and some kind of creative evolution. Of course, they can pretend play that the work has something new, but there is no precedent nor proof that that has ever happened in the speed that it happens in the NFT space. Again, people are free to through away their resources on whatever they want but with this way of doing things, we more and more are going to start seeing the consequences. Oh! There are consequences? Yes. Maybe unintended, but there are. Let's see. Let's start with the loss of belief in the NFT space as somewhere where emerging artists can come and find support for their experiments. Why even bother to bring experiments, innovation, and new ways to think of art on the blockchain if the same people have all the collectors hypnotized with their magical flutes? Why even try to come to a space where taking risks and challenging the status quo (the mission of art!!!) is overlooked? This makes the NFT space a social club and not a space for art. I guess it is fine, but IMO it is a recipe for disaster. New collectors stay away because the art will slowly but surely become stale and un-challenging. Why even bother to come and see what is happening here if you can't, as a collector, see new weird and up-and-coming artists? The amount of noise emitted by the same artists doing the same art over and over, drowns out any new voices. Again. A recipe for disaster. The NFT space is becoming a space of disappointment and doubt. We think that collections going to zero one after the other, over and over, is not damaging? I feel we are kidding ourselves. Disappointment piles up, and again, the people who will hurt are the emerging artists, the new blood, the ones who are willing to risk the most and, in return, put fire in this cold space of sameness. I love this space—don't get me wrong—it has changed my life, and I believe it has a ton of potential, but things need to change for it to become a beacon of light in art. But we need to support new voices. We need to support new ideas. The challenge is huge. I hope to contribute all I can to this change. I hope more and more see how exciting it is to go out and try to discover what else is out there and move this space forward. But again, I understand the leaps of faith needed, but if there is a space that is based on that, it's the NFT space...so there is hope. We will see. 📺by Boldtron

Sports 🥹🥹 At about the 70 minute mark last night during Palmeiras and Inter Miami, a family of five came into our section. All 3 kids wore Miami colors. According to the parents, they weren’t necessarily the biggest Miami fans — they just loved Messi. The oldest kid, maybe 6/7, was mesmerized by the Palmeiras fans constantly on their feet screaming and chanting. I’m not sure he quite understood what was being said but after a little bit, he decided to join in. So, by now I'm sure you saw the AI fanart recreation of the Princess Mononoke trailer. It got a LOT of feedback, mostly from people telling the creator what a terrible thing he did and how AI assisted workflows can never be used for anything good or meaningful and most of all that it can never be used for art. That's such nonsense. Of course it can. If it's wielded by artists and great storytellers, great things will come of it. If you hand a violin to someone on the street they'll be able to make it make sounds.. if you hand it to a talented musician it becomes a conveyer of thoughts, emotion and art. Here's a small scene from Mononoke that I did an AI take on.. it's far from perfect and to animate this properly would require much more work. The AI workflows we have today are lacking so many control elements. But to think those things won't come.. come on. Of course they will. But most importantly, in a way where they don't overtake the art completely, but instead acts like an "amplifier" of the artists using the tools. This technology will be in most of our creative tools in the very near future with full controllability. Oh and I never liked the idea of turning old disney classics into live-action films, or doing the same with the beautiful work of Studio Ghibli. But for the purpose of this post I hope you'll forgive me ;-) #art #animation

CHENGDU TRIP REPORT: First-hand observations did confirm that infrastructure and technology advancements in China are moving at an extreme rate. What we noticed in Chengdu: 1) Big clean subways comparable to Seoul or Tokyo, 2) Ruler-level super-wide roads and highways, 3) Alipay has revolutionized buying stuff and is way easier than say the Korean cashless systems, 4) Air pollution was not really a noticeable thing, 5) Overall, things are just built smart and pragmatically for widespread use by the common people. As far as social technology, same fun and safe vibe as elsewhere across East Asia, thanks to thousands of years of Confucian social science on how to cultivate good people and harmonious society. Regarding Alipay/WeChat: This was the only truly shocking thing, as I had not read reports covering the full implications of this. It really changes everything. Now we don’t need lines, menus, verbal orders, credit cards, kiosks, account numbers, wires, or receipts. That whole annoying process just got annihilated, and this all seems to have happened since my 2018 trip to Shanghai!? For everything you just scan your phone, menus come up in your phone, select taxis destinations in your phone, all data and proof of purchases are in your phone. But, like morons, we kept walking up to counters and staring like “where is the menu,” and they are staring at us alike “why are you standing here” and we are thinking like “is this even a coffee shop?” Habits. Okay, total process change! Now just walk in and sit down, menu comes up on your phone, select items and click pay, they bring, then you walk out. With taxis, subways, busses, movies, shopping, friends, it just makes everything so much more efficient and solves many long-standing problems… honestly have not yet fully mentally processed this. Let’s be absolutely clear with the facts from today’s “march against the far right” which I attended from the start. 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 1. These were left-wing organisations from all over the UK. Every union under the sun was in attendance. National Education Union are definitely indoctrinating children within the teacher and school environment, just look at their presence today. It is very concerning. Watch what they teach your kids. They, as an education union, along with Unite the union: join a union, were also fighting over who got to be at the front of the march today, thanks to two lesbian powerhouses not having it. Comedy gold 😂 2. The second video shows over 100 coaches being used to bus in all these so-called “concerned citizens” on organised transport. They are all part of a left-wing narrative which just doesn’t work anymore, we see exactly what they are doing. That was the entire left-wing loony left in attendance. That’s it. That’s them. This is a major point! We have millions who know what’s right, and the left wing in this country is about to get the shock of their lives in the next elections, swept off the map.
