From the e/acc trenches to watching Extropic ship. Congrats Beff @ NeurIPS can't wait to run this on actual stochastic silicon instead of simulating it digitally. 65k spins finding equilibrium using THRML. Extropic's THRML library built for their thermodynamic hardware. Currently Running on GPU/CPU now, but one day we might all be running quantum on our devices. Traditional computing fights physics (force bits to 0/1). Thermodynamic computing uses physics (p-bits that naturally fluctuate). For sampling problems, that's orders of magnitude more efficient. This is energy-based inference in your hands. I would have never ventured into looking into this, still way over my head but its so fucking cool wish I could have had the capital to put cheques into extropic, nous_research and rysana but lets build to the top.

Karpathy method + Claude Code reading your whole Obsidian vault is the smartest second brain on earth. The method is simple and brutal. If you can’t build a thing from scratch, you don’t know it. Tutorials are fake learning and your brain deletes them in 3 days. Most people ignore this. They build a second brain that just sits there, folders of notes nobody reopens, dead text. Point Claude Code at the vault and it wakes up. 5,000 notes, one mind. It reads all of it and answers in your own words and your own proofs, not a model’s guess. Then the loop closes. Last week 1 wrote my wife a goodbye letter b/c 1 could no longer speak, I told her it was ok because I was going home...She threw it away and said Don't listen to the doctors you are going to live! So I told her I'd keep fighting, through the process God revealed himself to me /and I confirmed that I would live now I can't hear the name Jesus without breaking down in tears. Thank you Jesus for coming to me and saving me! Thank you to my wife for calling in my family who coached me throughout the entire recovery alongside my the hospital. I'm home recovering now, but I have a long road ahead. The best way to communicate is to send a voicemail through text. Pls don't call. I love you all & l'm grateful to be alive! Jesus is Lord!!

Trans thoughts : 🏳️‍⚧️ Between the 2nd to 4th month into my HRT transition, I begun becoming more social. Which was odd given the fact that I have been isolating myself for years and call it under the pretext of : "I'm too shy or I'm extremely introverted" However, now... the moment I talk to someone and connect with them IRL, we are instantly sharing numbers so we can keep in touch. I'M THE ONE ASKING FOR IT BTW I'm not sure what has gotten onto me, but I think the ability to feel myself more the authentic me, having my best friend, coach and parents accept me openly for being trans, going outside and getting treated like a lady plus my whole online community being the loving goobers that you are... It has started to change me. For the better. 🥰 Before, I dreaded the thought of going outside. Now, given that I'm not busy, I want to be outside as much as possible Anyways, I am really happy so here something cool I do on my free times :

From Qwen LLM, VLM, LLaVA-OV, and WanVideo, to unified models like Qwen-Omni and BAGEL — plus Linear-Attn GDN and research prototypes like RAE and SiT - all under one modular system that seamlessly integrates diverse datasets and optimization strategies. Powered by FSDP2 multi-dim parallelism, Ulysses sequence parallel, Flash-Attention, Liger Kernels, and Native Sparse Attention (also with bonus support for the Muon optimizer for all models).

This weekend my dream came into fruition. And it still doesn’t feel real… I started Earnit Media in late 2023. There were many times when I did the weekly calls completely by myself, nobody would join. I’d sit there for an hour just hoping to hear the Discord join sound. Now I just hosted an irl meet up in Gdańsk with 18 members who’ve flown from all over the world. Shoutout DiPi for getting a 16 hour flight all the way from California. The power of the internet is wild and the opportunities YouTube and short form content have provided is a real blessing. I gave out awards for members that passed milestones like $10K and $100K since joining Earnit and seeing the amount of lives my community has changed in person is an indescribable feeling. The members also got me and my right hand man Ben a very special gift. A custom Earnit belt that was signed by all of them. I’ve been sleeping with it wrapped around my shoulder. It was so cool to see everyone sharing sauce and motivating each other. It doesn’t matter if you’re making 1K, 5K, 10K, 30K a month - everybody benefited from the conversations and provided value. It’s taken a long time to build such a supportive community but man was the effort worth it. I come from a small English town where nobody works online, let alone does YouTube. So to be able to meet like-minded people who understand exactly what you do, have the same sense of urgency + ambition is a rarity and is key for growth. I have no doubt that so many of us are gonna be lifelong friends. I keep telling myself that I’m so grateful and lucky to have been able to do this because I truly have been blessed with the cards life has dealt me and the path I’ve been put on. I strongly believe my purpose is to change peoples lives in a positive way, so to be told that I’ve done that in person by several people has made me realize that I’m executing my mission well. "how many Rs in strawberry." it costs 1 credit. you start with a few. they refill on a cooldown. then your prompt gets sent into a queue, and a real person somewhere on earth picks it up and has 60 seconds to answer like an AI would. no machine learning. no neural net. just some guy in his bedroom typing as fast as he can and pretending he is a chatbot. the page tells you, verbatim: "you have 60 seconds to fulfill a request before sam altman burns your H100." if you flip to the other tab and larp as ai instead, you earn credits to send your own prompts. it is a perfectly closed economy of mutual roleplay. what makes it transcend is the chaos: > someone asked for a sketch of "a DJ in space" and got something that looks exactly like a real model failing > someone asked "should i text my ex" and got back confident hallucinated life advice from a stranger > the fan strategy guides advise you to begin your reply with "as an AI language model, i cannot have feelings, but here is my feeling" it is the most accurate parody of an AI chatbot ever made, and the AI is humans. the kid who built it is Mihir Maroju, a 17-year-old high school graduate from Puducherry. he goes by mikidoodle online. NPR confirmed the site hit 25 million unique visitors and nearly 280 million total hits in roughly a month. "i didn't really expect it to be so addictive," he told them. no signup. no app. no paywall. you open the URL and you are inside the joke. the footer just says, in tiny grey text: "humans make mistakes because that's what makes us human." the internet is healing.

Just got home from Vegas, and it’s making me chuckle to see the discourse around Phish at the Sphere in my mentions. Those posts blew up! So many hot takes and cultural karenification. It’s not that serious. A lot of it is coming from the self-appointed cool crowd with zero curiosity about the experience… the exact type of people who are probably anti-amusement park, anti-cruise, anti-arcade, anti-roller coaster, anti-Magic Castle or Medieval Times. Relax. Whimsy still has its place in how we spend our leisure time at a low-stakes cultural spectacle. It’s like getting mad at the catering for a wedding you weren’t invited to or something? Obviously I had a great time on my spring vacation of choice. But, like a human golden retriever, I’m also the kind of person who always has a good time in an experience instead of trying to find the misery in it. Those of us who go to Phish know we’re big old dorks and a little cringe, just like Renaissance Faire or Civil War reenactors or people who go to ComicCons. Or wrestling. Or F1. Whatever!
