3 days? In cardiology it takes 3 min to die. 3 days is a lifetime in my world. It should be 30 min.

Texas did this already in 2021. Our law also introduced the concept of “gold-carding”, where docs who have 90% of their PA’s approved can no longer get hit with them.

@BrainAblaze Just spent 18 days without my asthma medication due to pre authorization requests/denials. I was in the ER 2x. I had bronchitis throughout. Was borrowing meds from friends&family. I ended up with a collapsed lung and air pockets in the other. STILL recovering.

@RyanMarino I sympathize with docs and patients getting tormented by prior authorizations. The one’s with a medical license should be the ones practicing medicine.

I work in pharmacy. It seems like every time I turn around, something needs a PA. So sick of it!!

In many countries, it requires< 30 minutes by law. 90% of that happens in 10 minutes.

As a person who deals with CMS recipients as part of his job, yes, this is very much needed. Waiting up to 60 days for a life-saving treatment is cruel.
