Ya you definitely want inmates to be comfortable and feel a connection to the outside world. So they don’t freak out and kill everyone while they’re locked up, and also so they don’t feel detached when they get out, which leads to more antisocial behavior.

I could absolutely do a year here and be better off mentally after it.
