Both Shibtoshi and David believe privacy is important. Unfortunately Bitcoin and Ethereum are not natively private. Shibtoshi set out to find privacy solutions, but everything was custodial. He wanted a self-custody solution. “We were told from competitors that it couldn’t be done… I set out to disprove them. I hired the devs and we got to work.” was the result, the first of its kind privacy cross-chain aggregator that is non-custodial, trustless, and decentralized. V1 currently only supports EVM chains, but v2 will support native Bitcoin, Solana, and other assets as well.

With Midnight now on testnet, I have become increasingly excited by the way they are approaching building a foundational layer of privacy that can collaborate with ANY CHAIN to offer rational privacy.

A native infrastructure feature to allow "Institutions to go from off chain to on chain " "Allows private amount distribution of assets among institutions" Initially tried to do with XRP but a better hybrid path was taken with issued assets. Privacy where it's needed and not a base case. I think thats the better path as well. Luc Bocahut and Ayo dived together with me in the new XRPL Preview series into this upcoming feature for the XRPL. With a sneak peek of what more to come on the privacy front to round up the tool kit and to achieve "hiding the transaction graph" ❤️ Very excited for privacy and i can't believe it's coming in a few weeks for voting.

With Tornado cash sanctions deemed unlawful in court, the entire privacy narrative is heating up again. My personal pick for privacy is $IX, currently sitting at a a 4M MC whilst facilitating: Privacy swaps Gasless Swaps Stealth Wallets All, multichain, including the first to offer Bitcoin privacy swaps. It is not just a mixer like Tornado, its a completely compliant platform utilising the Oasis Privacy Layer. There is a common misconception between the two, differences below. Tornado does not log tx's anywhere. Illuminex does, but they are logged privately and isn't for public record similar to the traditional banking system, which is OPL tech (Oasis Privacy Layer). You can see them, you can have a log of them, but not accessible to the public. All revenue made by the protocol is used to buy back and burn the $IX token. Expecting momentum when the privacy narrative hits hard again like it does every single cycle.
