When a mother, exhausted and broken after being failed by the police and the courts, is forced to seek solace in a religious preacher…. know that the system is collapsing. A mother who lost her daughter… allegedly murdered by her in-laws. She went to the police. The accused reportedly bribed them with ₹60 lakhs. Since 2018, she has been running from court to court. This is not just injustice. This is a complete failure of the system.

There is no credibility in the examination system in this country. 👉🏻 These people want to make democracy a mockery. If democracy becomes a mockery, the value of journalism will not exist at all. If you are going to stop and silence different voices, then what is the meaning of journalism? 👉 Now, agencies are compromised and weaponized to target opposition parties. This has also been witnessed in West Bengal. One morning, MPs are saying, "We are no longer in the party. We are forming a new party," and the BJP are completely white washing them. 👉 This is a deeply worrying situation for the democracy of this country. 👉 Congress is going to fight against all these forces and will continue to fight until democratic and constitutional values prevail. Every morning, when I head outside to go to work, I look back and see my 5-year-old daughter Noa. Everything I do, I do for her. And this week, we watched as the President of the United States hosted a UFC fight in front of the White House where the winning fighter spewed the vile lie that First Lady Michelle Obama is a man. This is not the country I want my daughter to grow up in. There is so much on the line. And it’s up to all of us to fight the right fight.

Throwback to the case of Mr. Akollobilla, a 102-year old man who was sentenced to 10-years imprisonment at the Kumasi Central Prison, after he was arrested for possessing and distributing marijuana. Recounting the circumstances that led to his arrest, Mr. Akollobilla disclosed that after losing his job as a cocoa farm manager, he struggled to support himself and was approached by a man who offered him cannabis joints to sell. However, just a day after receiving the first parcel, he was apprehended and subsequently sentenced. Following the intervention of the Crime Check Foundation, he was granted a presidential pardon in 2018. He later passed away in July 2020.

In 1996, a Canadian inventor named Troy Hurtubise created this metal suit of armour to enable him to take on and fight off a grizzly bear. He also created several inventions, including ray generators, firepaste (an ablative heatproofing material), the Ursus personal armor suit, and the Trojan Ballistics Suit of Armor. Tragically, Hurtubise passed away on June 17, 2018, following a collision between his car and a transport truck carrying gasoline, leading to an explosion. While the transport truck driver sustained minor injuries, Hurtubise's body was found inside his burned vehicle.
