Prof “Self-Mutilating”, with another biting assessment. He explains this concept in relation to how it is that “The Government” regularly pats itself on the back for good performance, yet the lived experience of abahlali is so pathetic. 💔

Our problems are visible and crystal clear. But indeed government under performs on purpose to glorify audits and loot. A bigger budget gets released the following year, and repeat.

Public servants have perfected the art of ‘gaming the system’ and this is mainly driven by performance auditing that is not anchored on outcomes and impact! 😉

Cara is back in Leinster House today for the thousands of children being failed by this government. Children are legally entitled to an assessment of needs within 6 months, yet the government continues to break the law, with devastating consequences. The government must act and the Combined Opposition will continue to work with Cara to make it happen.

This is today at the junction of Prof Wangari Maathai Road and Parklands Road. Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) is acting on the concerns highlighted yesterday. The vijana wa mjengo on site indicate that the works will be completed before December, 2026. This is how not serious individuals in the Government of Kenya treat their work. My Engineer, Francis Makambo from Nangili would have completed this project in one week with atmost dexterity but it is not yet our time to eat. I will be here regularly to monitor this agency that cannot work without strict supervision. #LazimaWaWork

I lived in the Czech Republic studying government tyranny and collapse. The signs of it coming are already here and this is how to avoid it. This isn’t theoretical I actually know this from first hand experience

Netanyahu is SO PATHETIC He is Fear Mongering to Get Votes VOTE HIM OUT, LOCK HIM UP He is looking for any reason to restart the War on Iran, to disrupt the elections to stay in power. Especially, that since the market data shows he is LOSING. Trump’s on board with this. A U.S. official told i24NEWS that another attack on Iran is a matter of “WHEN, not IF.”

An Iranian plays the song "King of Hearts" on the accordion in the street. It is an old Iranian song from before the time of the ayatollahs, and his performance is a longing for the good old days that are yet to come.🇮🇷

Dave Bautista’s opening scene in BLADE RUNNER 2049 (2017) is so good. Before the story has really begun, he gives the movie its soul. A performance so lived-in that this character feels like the protagonist of a different film we never got to see.

So, another "Pre-Celebration" of "Victory" in Iran from the Whitehouse. The problem with all of this self congratulatory PR, is that the potential for escalation grows as each self imposed "Deadline for Victory" comes and goes.
