Workers have been excluded from transition planning and face mounting barriers to moving into the renewables industry. We must nurture the skills already in the workforce, skill-up where needed and create new green jobs.

The North Sea is a battleground for workers’ rights. We must close loopholes that leave migrant workers on poverty pay, end blacklisting and strengthen unions.

Aberdeen is ‘the oil and gas capital of Europe’, but local people don’t get a look in on huge profits. We need an energy system that works for everyone - publicly owned companies that reinvest in communities.

The climate and labour movements are stronger together. As workers across industries and across the world rise up for fairer, safer conditions, we stand with the oil and gas workers demanding change.
