And most of those professions can’t be replaced with AI. But if declared as non-professional will get paid even lower wages than they do now. It’s a full on war against women and the working class!

Why is she giving this info like the change and the fields they chose weren't completely intentional. They chose to make those changes BECAUSE they disproportionately impacted women in a negative way. What is it going to TAKE for people to get, this 👇🏾 is the republikkkan plan.

Its all about restricting mobility - especially financial and physical. Both for the educated and the ones they help. Cruelty IS the point.

Hi! OT here! This is a wonderful idea! The cost of becoming an OT/PT/SLP/SW used to be a bachelors and now requires a masters or doctorate resulting in massive student loans that outweigh the salary. Plus I don’t need the government to validate if I’m a professional or not

IMO they’re doing this to completely collapse what’s left of the government health system so that it gets fully privatized.

Nurse here as well... I don't see why this is a problem. They are just limiting the amount one can take out to finance a professional degree. Nursing school has gotten too expensive. You shouldn't have to borrow more than 100,000 for these programs. Doesnt make sense for most nurse salaries.

Retard, they're doing this to bring down the COST that universities can charge for these types of degrees... So future generations aren't saddled with 20 years of debt. 🤦‍♀️

The question should be why are you paying to learn something that will benefit the community

I sent three children to college. They didn’t get funding from the government. The government does not owe you anything in the form of payment.

@LePapillonBlu2 & many hosp, esp in rural areas, head toward more PA’s & fewer Dr s on staff. So more responsibilities & less pay if they can even get the education to become a PA.

Consider the fact that if the Department of Education had that authority, maybe it has gotten too powerful and centralized.

I mean a nurse more closely aligns with like a lineman apprenticeship than it does a business BA

It's so universities won't be able to continue charging exorbitant tuition for a degree path that will take decades to pay off the loans. You may not think so but it's a win for students in those programs.

okay not for nothing, but as long as you getting paid the same for the work you do, who the fuck cares?

States regulate this. Each state does so differently. This is a perfect example of why there should not be a national entity making such determinations.

Lots of professions exist without being labeled as a professional degree. I get the impact for these specific professions, but if you’re going to complain about the criteria then address what it should encompass. If you don’t have a solution then it’s not really that much of a problem to you.

The government isn’t going to pay for your education. Plus many immigrants with visas that come in from other countries for free education in these fields. Basically no more free ride and taking good jobs from Americans. 🤪
