Sure, when you invent something as monumental as google search. A car didnt need a launch video. Neither would an aircraft. Google search is an invention of that scale and importance. I doubt an ai coding agent, the 19th of its kind, is as monumental

if you think with that mindset i doubt you’d come across a good idea tbh

How did you conclude my mindset from a practical observation about google being a monumental product? Is it wrong to believe that some products need education bcs they are more nuanced?

Suchhh good storytellinggg 🤌🏽

Right

is it me or was google way snappier

this is lowkey the same plot as the interaction launch vid

wow google was so fast back then

Lmao

I wish the google logo and bar updated with the years of use

one of my favorite ads! Vividly recall when it was launched: Feb 2010 during the superbowl

sick

It's not a launch video. This was 2010. Google was already a verb and just about to finish off Yahoo and see Bing relegated to a permanent second place

so ure an SEO expert/vendor

wow, so good!

Launch videos are super cheap with ai nowadays. Like $4 per video or sth.

this is such a feed cleanser, lmk if you’d ever want to work with @soarapp

Powerful proof fr

superbowl 2010 commercial

Google put Francois Truffaut in their launch video while nowadays top tier ai lab treats matcha as taste marker and does roman empire larpings

I would love to see this recreated with 2026 Google... Q: "impress a french girl" 1. Gemini Snippet: "you shouldn't try to deceive a girl into liking you" 2. "Visit 3. "Learn french with Duolingo!" 4. "Top 5 things people that impress do to impress!"

different times back then though

Wow google was much more readable back then

yuhhhhh if you’re launching something like google in an age of basically no internet

Back when Google was innovative and focused on useful products

On that time people were so simple but now you can't attract intention from GenZ with these kinds of advertisement

So good

if it was done in 2026 it either would be two guys sitting next to each other near the laptop or a very active upbeat video that looks like every other video of this kind...

This was 2008, Now we are 2026

the best ad i've watched

its the opposite in 2026, more products needs a cool launch video (the cost of video is coming down and will drastically come done in couple of years may be months)
