Elon Musk: If simulation theory is correct, the most interesting outcome is the most likely. Because simulations that are not interesting will be terminated. Just like in this version of reality, on this layer of reality, when a simulation goes in a boring direction, we stop spending effort on it. We terminate the boring simulation. I have a theory here. If simulation theory is correct, then there’s a tendency toward interesting outcomes. Because in this reality, when something is boring, we don’t keep paying for it. We stop the simulation. The boring ones don’t survive. As long as they’re interesting, they’ll keep paying the bills. Whatever the equivalent is of the cosmic AWS bill that this reality is running on, if things remain interesting enough, they’ll keep paying to keep it running.

Are We In a Simulation? Well, it does work as if we are. So for all intents and purposes you should adopt this mentality! Life responds to you, primarily your thoughts, beliefs, energy and actions. Whether or not there's a giant computer doesn't matter; simulation can simply be an allegory for how this reality operates. As such, we can work with this simulation to create the reality that we desire, and improve our lives. Becoming conscious is the goal. Then, work to understand WHY we are in this "simulation", and what our aims should be...

This is a subject that I have deeply researched because I love physics. Everything is energy and nothing is solid. I could go on and on with proofs. Look up the double slit experiment and Donald Hoffman simulation on YouTube!

UBC professor Dr. Mir Faizal and his team proved that reality operates on "non-algorithmic understanding" that no computer could ever simulate. They used Gödel's incompleteness theorem to show some truths can only be grasped through understanding that doesn't follow logical steps. Computers follow recipes. Reality doesn't. The fundamental laws of physics exist beyond space and time in what physicists call a Platonic realm of pure information that can't be coded. They basically say the universe is too weird to be fake.
