Why are you deleting my items that contained private recordings that I have posted? This item was deleted for no reason and it is definitely a wrong decision you have made, as these are my recordings. Where in your rules do my recordings break the rules?

Twelve years ago we asked the question: how can we put public data "on wheels"? Datawheel was born from vision that data alone doesn't get far. It needs vehicles to reach hearts and minds. Vehicles that make data easy to find, explore, and understand. Today, Datawheel turns twelve. In these twelve years, we have built dozens of solutions that are helping define the state of the art in public data distribution. Today we celebrate this journey. A journey with a great team and amazing clients. The journey to make public data all it can be. are some of the tools defining all that public data can be. Thank you!!!

Stanford Prof. Christopher Manning warns frontier AI is being built inside “three monasteries,” with too little of what happens inside making it out to the rest of society: "If we just think of the whole space of frontier AI, a huge problem at the moment is so much of it is happening in these sort of three monasteries, and very little information is making it outside to the rest of the world." "That's an enormous problem for the whole of society. The American public is not gonna get more comfortable with the possibilities of an AI future if the feeling is it's completely hidden from them." "For the case of having Stanford involved, it's just a bedrock assumption of Stanford's that things are made public. All research we do has to be publicly available." "Role of scientists should be to give good data & then let people make decisions. Science should be an engine for knowledge & freedom.. It shouldn’t push mandates.. Mandates pushed by many scientists have led to the lack of confidence the public has in science.” —Jay Bhattacharya

Alexandr Wang says "The US government is one of the largest producers of data in the world," but most of it is unavailable to advance American AI. He calls for a "national AI data reserve," making all public data AI-ready, and initiating "agentic government programs"—where AI acts under human supervision to serve citizens.

Taxpayers have a right to understand what their money is being spent on. In my committee, I was pleased to convince the Welsh Government's Minister for Government Effectiveness that the quality of some of the data it publishes to the public is woeful and needs to be fixed. Another example of Reform holding the Welsh Government to account in opposition.

Fight back against Flock mass surveillance! I'll show you how you can fight back, how to request public camera data, and how one state sued a man for simply requesting the data -- they fear being watched, so the state made it illegal to request public data again. DeFlock

Jedd Fisch told the press today how important it is to track data during a football practice. At the University of Washington they track more than most. Once you have the data it becomes a matter of using it to make better decisions and that's where AI makes a difference.
