Punch the orphaned monkey is way too precious. Why are all the other monkeys being so mean to him?

Punch was just sitting quietly doing nothing when one of the babies approached him, but Punch avoided the baby and quickly ran away. Then, unexpectedly, two of the baby’s mothers started chasing Punch! 😟 Meanwhile, on the other side, there were clashes involving several other monkeys and Punch’s friends. Here, Punch was bullied by two bigger monkeys. He managed to escape, but another large monkey also bit him before he finally got away with great difficulty. 😢 Something definitely seems to be causing a lot of unrest and tension on Monkey Mountain today. 🥺🐒 #punchi #punchmonkey

Punch the monkey is celebrating his first birthday - and with some new friends. He stole the hearts of millions when he was seen carrying around a stuffed orangutan after he was abandoned by his mom and ostracized by the other monkeys.

Regarding "the video of Punch gets dragged around" that appeared to have been recorded yesterday, February 19. This is a statement from the zookeepers at the Ichikawa City Zoological and Botanical Gardens. Fabruary 20. We have confirmed that several videos have gone viral on the internet. When Punch approached another baby monkey from the troop in attempt to communicate, the baby monkey avoided him. Punch then sat down, apparently giving up on communicating with the monkey, after which he was scolded and dragged by an adult monkey. The adult monkey that dragged Punch is probably the mother of the monkey with whom Punch tried to communicate. She probably felt that her baby was annoyed by Punch and got upset, expressing "don't be mean." Punch has been scolded by other monkeys many times in the past and has learned how to socialize with them. In the video, Punch runs to his stuffed orangutan toy after being dragged. However, as usual, he left the stuffed toy after a short while and was communicating with other monkeys. The video was probably recorded on the morning of February 19. During feeding time at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., Punch acted no differently than on any other day. In order to integrate Punch into other Japanese monkey troops, we anticipated that this kind of challenge may arise. Although Punch has been scolded many times by other monkeys, no single monkey has shown serious aggression toward him. While Punch is scolded, he shows resilience and mental strength. When you observe these disciplinary behaviors from other troop members toward Punch when he tries to communicate with them, we would like you to support Punch's effort rather than feel sorry for him.

A foreign (American?) crypto bro illegally entered the Ichikawa Zoo's monkey enclosure, home of the famous baby monkey Punch. He was wearing a costume promoting "Memecoin" cryptocurrency. Videos show the monkeys were frightened by his nuisance behavior.

The Ice Has Broken: Baby Punch Appears to Have Been Accepted by the Troop Punch, the macaque who used to carry his plush “mom” everywhere, is no longer alone. He has bonded with another monkey, who has started caring for him and grooming him — a key sign of trust and acceptance among primates. He was also seen playing with other monkeys, who did not show aggression toward him. It seems this story has finally taken a happy turn.

Punch and Momiage cuddling each other while Punch looked afraid of the bigger monkeys. The monkey behind them is Kibi, as there were rumors that she was Punch’s mother. In one video, she sits beside Akira. She seems very reserved and calm. I heard Punch’s mother was said to be a calm , introverted young monkey too. #ichikawazoo

Punch got scared and hugged one big monkey, but the big monkey didn’t run away. She seemed like Punch’s mother but I am not sure , she stayed silent, patient, and let Punch hug her peacefully, unlike the other monkeys 😍😍 #punchmonkey #punchi

🥺 Baby Pancha has made his first friend on the monkey hill A few days ago, something important happened — one of the monkeys helped him groom fleas. For Pancha, this was his first normal contact with the other residents of the enclosure. Before that, he was pushed away and even beaten. Now he finally has a chance to be accepted by the group.

It's a weekday but crowded, with the monkey enclosure having about 3-4 rows of people lining up 💦💦 At first, I couldn't tell where Punch-kun was 😖 Finally spotted him through the gaps in the crowd ~😭 Surrounded by all the senior monkeys, fast asleep 😴

⚠️Another monkey approaches and attempts to seize the plush toy. Punch responds without hesitation. He confronts the intruder directly, positioning himself to block the effort and asserting clear boundaries through his posture and actions until the other monkey withdraws. The sequence demonstrates his ability to finally stand his ground and communicate that the interference will NEVER be accepted. We are so proud of you baby ❤️
