Pundit 🗣️Chelsea’s biggest mistake was thinking talent alone could replace experience. Even Cucurella and Enzo Fernández publicly admitted this squad lacks seniority in key moments. The interesting part? When Enzo and Cucurella spoke publicly, I didn’t take it as players trying to force exits. I took it as players...

🚨Enzo Fernández Statement on his red card incident against Spain: 🗣️Reporter: Enzo, can you talk us through the challenge that led to your red card? 🗣️ Enzo: “I knew I was already on a yellow card. When I went in for the challenge, there was no bad intention. My only objective was to win the ball and help my team. I wasn’t trying to hurt anyone. As soon as the collision happened, I could hear Spain’s players surrounding the referee, shouting that it was a card. Almost immediately, the referee reached for his pocket. He didn’t take much time before making the decision, even though it was a World Cup final and he knew I was already on a booking. From my point of view, the decision was extremely harsh. In a match of that magnitude, you hope the referee carefully considers every big call because one decision can change the entire final. I was devastated when I saw the red card. Leaving my teammates with ten men in a World Cup final is one of the worst feelings a footballer can experience. I wanted to be on the pitch fighting until the final whistle. All week there was so much discussion about the referee before the match, and in the end I felt every decision seemed to go against us. That’s how it felt from where I was standing. We believed we were never given the benefit of the doubt in the big moments. I’m disappointed, but I respect football and I respect the game. I just wish the key decisions in a World Cup final were judged with greater consistency. Those moments can define careers and determine who lifts the biggest trophy in football.”

Rory Jennings 🗣️ I hate Enzo Fernández. You heard that completely correctly: I hate Enzo Fernández. A lot of people seem to be very annoyed by this. They are becoming irate with me and suggesting that my Instagram posts have been aggressive, unnecessary and unedifying. They do not like what I have been saying about Enzo Fernández. They could be right, and I respect their opinions. I would also like to hear yours. I genuinely seek your counsel here: am I wrong, or am I completely and utterly justified? I am going to explain my feelings about Enzo Fernández. I will discuss his character, his conduct throughout the World Cup and his overall behaviour as a footballer. At the end of this video, I want your feedback. Let me know in the comments section whether you think I am right or wrong. For me, Enzo Fernández is undoubtedly the most dislikable and objectionable footballer at the entire World Cup. There is not one redeeming feature about him. There is absolutely nothing about him that I find even mildly inspiring. He is a brat. An objectionable brat. He is incredibly dislikable, and some of his behaviour has genuinely blown my mind. This is how deep my dislike goes: when anybody tries to defend Enzo Fernández or explain why he is supposedly a good person, I find it morally bankrupt. I think it is a disgrace that Enzo Fernández is the Chelsea captain. I think it is a disgrace that he has ever had the honour of wearing the captain’s armband. When you consider the man and the circumstances surrounding Enzo Maresca’s decision to give him that armband, especially after everything we had already seen him do, I genuinely believe it is a stain on the history of Chelsea Football Club that a man like Enzo Fernández ever got his hands on that armband. Watching Enzo Fernández cost his team the World Cup was incredibly satisfying. He was the architect of Argentina’s downfall and the reason they lost the World Cup final. #NG67

‼️🚨🔵PRESSER🔵🚨‼️ 🎙 Enzo Maresca’s Full Pre-AFC Bournemouth Press Conference – Part 1/2 🔹 Enzo Maresca on the team news: “Just Moi is suspended 🟥 and then we don’t have any new injuries.” 👍🏽 🔹 Enzo Maresca on Lavia latest: “It’s a muscle problem 🧠⚠️. We don’t know yet when he can be back. We don’t know whether it’s long or short term.” 🤷🏽‍♂️ 🔹 Enzo Maresca on reaction from Leeds defeat: “Since the end of the game, I didn’t see the players because we came back from Leeds yesterday afternoon 🚍. I will see the players soon and we will have time to focus on tomorrow’s game.” 🎯 🔹 Enzo Maresca on Leeds: “I didn’t see the players yesterday but I watched the game back 🎥. We did many things bad. Probably we also paid the price of playing with 10 men against Arsenal for an hour 🔴😮‍💨. Leeds away can be more complicated in some ways than other games.” ⚔️ 🔹 Enzo Maresca on rotation criticism: “Most of the rotation we do is because the other ones cannot play. We have players in this moment that are not able to play every three days.” 🔄⚠️ 🔹 Enzo Maresca on lack of leadership in the squad: “It’s not that. I love the young squad, I love the young players and the squad I have.” 💙✨ 🔹 Enzo Maresca on Acheampong regret: “One of the regrets I have after the game is that I didn’t play with Josh. The reason why we played with Trevoh, Benoit and Tosin was because we saw long balls to their strikers, but even that, we lost most of them.” 😓📉 #CFC | #Chelsea | #BOUCHE | #Interviews 📲 Chelsea FC Updates

‼️🚨🔵PRESSER🔵🚨‼️ 🎙 Enzo Maresca’s Full Pre–Aston Villa Press Conference (Part 1 & 2) 🔹 Enzo Maresca on Delap and Estevão: “Both are available following their injuries.” ✅💪🏽 🔹 Enzo Maresca on if he would swap Morgan Rogers for Cole Palmer: “No. Because I love Cole ❤️ and Cole is my player.” 🔵 🔹 Enzo Maresca on Antoine Semenyo: “I’m focused on Aston Villa 🎯. Not on players who can arrive and leave. I’m in love with the squad we have.” 💙✨ 🔹 Enzo Maresca on Cole Palmer: “He is ready to play a full 90 minutes if needed.” ⏱️⚽ ⸻ 🔹 Enzo Maresca on any developments / the ‘worst 48 hours’ quote: “No, no, no. Before the Newcastle game, I already spoke about that. So nothing to add.” ❌🗣️ 🔹 Enzo Maresca on meetings with sporting directors / ownership: “Again, before the Newcastle game, in the press conference, I said that we had a meeting, that the relationship is good and we all focus on the Aston Villa game — the next game, the next game. So nothing to add.” 🤝🔵 🔹 Enzo Maresca on the players’ Christmas party: “Yeah, it was very good 🎄😊. Family time, players with their friends, with the kids. So it was a nice day, yeah.” 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 🔹 Enzo Maresca on Chelsea’s training plan over Christmas: “After Newcastle they had two days off 😮‍💨. We trained yesterday, we train today, tomorrow off, and then Friday session and Saturday again.” 📆🏃🏽‍♂️ 🔹 Enzo Maresca on Pep giving players time off: “It’s Pep’s choice 🤝. He considers doing that. I think every manager probably thinks in a different way, but you have to respect different points of view. Is it about trusting the players to do the right thing on Christmas? No. I think it’s not about trust or not trust. I think also Pep trusts the players — just in a different way.” 🧠⚽ 🔹 Enzo Maresca on being in the stands vs Aston Villa: “Yes. In almost 100 games, I’ve been suspended three times 😅. One for celebration 🎉, and two times for yellow cards 🟨. So yeah, unfortunately I will be on the stand, but Willy [Caballero] is there, Danny [Walker] is there, the coaching staff is there. Does it affect the way I prepare, in terms of getting my messages to the players? No, no.” 🏟️📣 🔹 Enzo Maresca on facing Aston Villa: “It will be a very tough game for us ⚔️. We will have to be at our best because Aston Villa are playing very well. They have a clear way of playing and they are very organised both on and off the ball. They are full of confidence in this moment 🔥, but we are at home 🏠 and we will be trying to get the three points as we always do. We will work hard and continue to grow.” 📈💙
