Putin: Denmark has always treated Greenland as a colony, and has treated it quite harshly, if not to say, cruelly. But this certainly doesn't concern us. They will sort it out among themselves.

☝️ “What is happening with Greenland does not concern us. In 1917, Denmark and the U.S. had a similar experience when Denmark sold the Virgin Islands to the United States. Incidentally, Denmark has always treated Greenland as a colony, often quite harshly, if not cruelly. However, this certainly does not concern us, and they will sort it out among themselves” - President Putin

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller: The president has been clear for months now that the United States should be the nation that has Greenland as part of our overall security apparatus. That is the formal position of the US government. [Q]: But can you say that military action against Greenland is off the table? Miller: It wouldn't be military action against Greenland. Greenland has a population of 30,000 people. The real question is, by what right does Denmark assert control over Greenland? What is the basis of their territorial claim? What is their basis of having Greenland as a colony of Denmark? The United States is the power of NATO. There's no need to even think or talk about this in the context that you're asking of a military operation. Nobody's going to fight the United States militarily over the future of Greenland.

Putin on Greenland: "What is happening with Greenland does not concern us at all. However, we do have experience in resolving similar issues with the United States. In the 19th century, in 1867, Russia sold Alaska to the United States, and the United States purchased it from us. If my memory serves me right, Alaska’s area is about 1.717 million square kilometres, slightly more. The United States bought Alaska from us for 7.2 million US dollars. Adjusted for inflation over all these decades, that amount would be around 158 million dollars in today’s prices. Greenland’s area is slightly over 2.166 million square kilometres. The difference is roughly 449-450 thousand square kilometres. If we compare this with the price the United States paid for Alaska, the price for Greenland would be somewhere in the range of 200-250 million dollars. If we compare it to gold prices at that time, the figure would probably be closer to one billion. But I think the United States could afford that amount as well. Most importantly, Denmark and the United States also have their own experience in this regard. In 1917, Denmark sold, and the United States purchased, the Virgin Islands. So there is precedent for this as well. By the way, Denmark has always treated Greenland as a colony and has dealt with it rather harshly, cruelly."

🚨⚡️ JUST IN: PUTIN’S GREENLAND MASTERSTROKE 🇺🇸🇷🇺 President Putin just dismantled the EU’s grip on Greenland with a "5D Chess" play that gives TRUMP a total free hand. - "None of our Business" – Putin officially declares Russia won't interfere, effectively clearing the path for a US-Greenland deal. 🤝 – Putin cites the 1917 land sales between Denmark and the USA as a precedent. If they did it then, why not now? – Putin exposes Denmark’s "harsh" and "cruel" treatment of Greenland as a colony, framing the US move as a necessary rescue mission. - Putin runs the math: Comparing it to the Alaska purchase ($7.2M in 1867), he calculates Greenland’s value at roughly $200M–$1B in inflation-adjusted gold terms. -: Bravo, Putin. The world is watching the ultimate power play. 🌍👀

Giorgia Meloni on Greenland: As far as I am concerned, I continue to insist on the role of NATO: NATO is the place in which we must seek to jointly organize instruments of deterrence against interferences that may be hostile in a territory that is clearly strategic. I believe that the fact that NATO has begun to work on this is a good initiative, and all the more so for this reason - because NATO has begun to do this work - I believe it is a mistake today to impose new sanctions.

“Denmark has become the first country in the world to force farmers to pay a fluctuance tax on their cows farting” Denmark is clearly not a serious country and should relinquish their claim on Greenland to America immediately.

And the fact is, no nation or group of nations is in any position to be able to secure Greenland other than the United States. We're a great power, much greater than people even understand. I think they found that out 2 weeks ago in Venezuela." Source: WEF, Donald J. Trump

MOMENTS AGO: President Trump on Truth Social: “BREAKING NEWS: I am pleased to announce that the United States of America has entered into an Agreement with The Kingdom of Denmark, and Greenland, that gives the United States permanent control over security, and all other needs, in Greenland, completely addressing ALL of our many U.S. concerns. There will be NO COST to the United States!” “At my direction, we worked with representatives of Denmark and Greenland to guarantee that the United States will FOREVER have the complete ability to do what is necessary in Greenland in order to secure and defend the security of Greenland, and the United States of America. Additionally, from now on, no U.S. adversary can EVER have a base in Greenland, have a military presence in Greenland, or make sensitive investments in Greenland, without our express written approval.” “For over 100 years, Presidents have known the strategic importance of Greenland, but NONE of them were able to do anything about it. I am proud to be the President that permanently and conclusively addressed this very important situation. This is an “Infinite Life” Agreement, there is no end! We are very honored and proud of what has just taken place, and everything agreed to today will be cherished by the American People. We will immediately begin the process of developing a large Military presence in the appropriate part of Greenland, of which there are many. We will work with the people of Greenland in its development and construction. This solution is a great one for the United States of America, Denmark, Greenland, and all of our Allies. We look forward to working with the wonderful people of Denmark and Greenland toward a magnificent future with respect to this large, and highly strategic, parcel of land. We will be very protective of it! This is a dream come true for the United States of America, one that is very important, historic, and special. Thank you for your attention to this matter! Let’s clarify the Greenland position. Greenland is a semi-autonomous territory of Denmark. It had recent elections in which there was ZERO support for Greenland to be part of the US. The JD Vance visit to Greenland yesterday was unwelcome. Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen rightly accused the US of exerting "unacceptable pressure" She said in a statement: “I have to say that it is unacceptable pressure being placed on Greenland and Denmark in this situation. You cannot make a private visit with official representatives from another country, when the acting Greenlandic government has made it very clear that they do not want a visit at this time,” Vance and his wife had to settle for visiting the US base, but still spewed Trump’s demands. This is clearly an open act of aggression towards an autonomous territory who have made it clear Greenland is not for sale. Just as an aside, if it was for sale, Denmark would be forced to ask the permission of the British Government. An agreement dating back to 1917 means Britain has first refusal on the Arctic island if current owners Denmark decide to sell it. 🎥 - CNN TikTok -

Stephen Miller argues Greenland is central to the next era of polar competition, calling it a “raw and unfair deal” for America to defend a massive territory at full cost while Denmark keeps full control: “Greenland is not essential for America’s national security. The new domain of international competition is going to be polar competition; that is where more and more resources are being spent by our nation’s adversaries. Greenland is 25% larger than Alaska. Greenland is the size of one-quarter of the continental United States. With respect to Denmark, Denmark is a tiny country with a tiny economy and a tiny military. They cannot defend Greenland. So they want us to spend hundreds of billions of dollars defending a territory for them that is 25% bigger than Alaska at a hundred percent American expense, but they say while we do this, it belongs 100% to Denmark. It’s a raw deal. It’s an unfair deal.”

Putin: Trump’s plan to seize Greenland is serious, has deep historical roots, and it is evident that the U.S. will pursue it systematically. Adds that it’s a bilateral issue between the U.S. and Denmark and has no bearing on Russia.

🚨 Fox News’ Brit Hume on President Trump’s ‘art of the deal’ on Greenland: “If you’re trying to understand Donald Trump, you can look at what he does most of the time as a never-ending quest for LEVERAGE in dealing with other people, other politicians, and other nations.” “I don’t think he’s going to militarily attack Greenland. I think he’d love to buy it if the Danes would sell it to him.” “What I do think is this, that his efforts on Greenland have baffled a lot of people... If he gets a good deal, and we get the use of Greenland for our military purposes, that may all work out for him.“

It was the Albanians of Kosova who were massacred, killed, raped, and driven from their own land. And today, on this very day, those who took up arms to defend their people are being condemned. I am ashamed to be part of this Europe, which has treated one of the oldest peoples of this continent as if they did not matter. It has always betrayed us.

KASPAROV: War always has strategic dimension. That’s why I speak of a goal: Ukraine must win, Russia must lose. What’s our goal? Who's clearly defined it? Words “We’ll support Ukraine as long as necessary” mean nothing. That’s not a goal. Putin has clearly defined his goal: liquidation of Ukraine as independent state, restoration of Russian influence in Eastern Europe. Have you ever heard Western politician say, “Russia must lose”? And until you set a goal, you don’t have appropriate tactical tools. “We’ll be with Ukraine as long as it takes” for what purpose? To eventually come to agreement with Putin? It’s unknown. That sentence remains unfinished. A clearly formulated goal is needed. Putin’s Russia poses a real threat to whole world. The goal of this war should be to inflict decisive defeat on Russia that leads to changes within Russian state itself. This is the only goal that can lead to removal of this Russian threat. Everything else is merely a temporary solution.

🚨WOW! NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte just announced to the world that DONALD TRUMP HAS BEEN VINDICATED — Denmark's Prime Minister agreed to his deal and GREENLAND IS OFF LIMITS FOR RUSSIA/CHINA. "He is COMPLETELY RIGHT! [...] What HE has been able to achieve together with the prime ministers of Greenland and Denmark is a deal where long-term investments the U.S. is making in Greenland, supporting the defense of the United States and NATO territory are there to stay long-term..." I think he was completely right to make that point and I think he was able to get prime ministers to bring this to a very successful outcome."
