Russia already engaged in an existential front of the same war, should not be asked to interevene. China on the other hand...

President Putin’s stance on Iran is clear and strategic. First, he highlights Iran’s self-reliance, emphasizing that Tehran has not requested assistance and previously chose not to collaborate on air defense—a sign of their pride and independent military capabilities. Second, Putin leaves the door open for future support, stating that if the situation escalates, Russia will assess Iran’s needs. This is neither a bluff nor empty rhetoric—unlike leaders who make hollow threats (cough Trump cough), Putin speaks with deliberate intent. Third, let’s not forget: Russia is already in a direct confrontation with the US. If Washington pushes further against Iran, Moscow stepping in would be a logical next move in this geopolitical struggle. And with China’s warning that it "won’t stand idly by" if tensions rise, the West should think twice before escalating.

IMO Iran is being stubbornly proud. It may cost them in the long run.

Huge L iran

Roflmao Russia was simply unable to help Syria despite having bases and forces in country Russia couldn't do sh!t even if it wanted to But yeah making excuses for being lame, a politicians best friend
