Putin: "We are ready for these negotiations on the Ukrainian issue. But there are also issues here that require special attention." This is not "the Ukrainian issue". This is Russian aggression against Ukraine, Russian war crimes. Ukraine needs just peace, not "Russian peace".

Trump has been played over and over again by Putin. From the summit in Alaska, to the 28-point plan that was a Trojan Horse for Putin's demands, to today — he has betrayed the cause of freedom in Ukraine. We all want peace. He is prolonging the war and the suffering.

Putin said that it wasn't Russia that started and wages the war in Ukraine. Russia, according to Putin, has been trying to stop the war during all this time. Such incredible lies. What Putin says is directed primarily at millions of fooled Russians who believe him and do not use other sources of information. Putin said: "By the way, we don't have unfriendly countries, we have unfriendly elites in some countries...the propaganda is working there, of course, they brainwash and say that it was us who started the war, and forget that it was them who started the war in 2014... that's when the war started, and we're doing all we can to stop it." (Sorry, I was too tired for subtitles)

Zelensky says he is ready for direct talks with Putin to end the war "I am ready for direct negotiations with Putin to end this war, instead of waiting until all the conflicts in the world are resolved, and only then will it be Ukraine's turn."

I had a productive meeting with Gen. Keith Kellogg—a good discussion, many important details. I am grateful to the United States for all the assistance and bipartisan support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. It’s important for us—and for the entire free world—that American strength is felt. We had a detailed conversation about the battlefield situation, how to return our prisoners of war, and effective security guarantees. From the very first second of this war, Ukraine has sought peace. We must and can ensure that peace is strong and lasting—so that Russia can never return with war. Ukraine is ready for a strong, effective investment and security agreement with the President of the United States. We have proposed the fastest and most constructive way to achieve results. Our team is ready to work 24/7. Success unites us all. Strong Ukraine-U.S. relations benefit the entire world. I thank General Kellogg for the joint work to achieve important results.

I had a very productive meeting with Donald J. Trump. I presented him our Victory Plan, and we thoroughly reviewed the situation in Ukraine and the consequences of the war for our people. Many details were discussed. I am grateful for this meeting. A just peace is needed. We share the common view that the war in Ukraine must be stopped. Putin cannot win. Ukrainians must prevail.

Ukraine is the battlefield, but the war that Putin is waging is a larger war against the European order of peace, freedom and the rule of law. His hybrid attacks have been directed at Germany, Poland and others for years now and are becoming ever more brazen.

💩 Russia will continue to consistently pursue its goals in Ukraine, Putin said So, in other words, he’ll keep humiliating himself in front of the whole world and rot a few hundred thousand more Russian people away in the trenches? Overall, for today’s speech at the ceremony of presenting credentials, Putin earns a weak C. We’ve heard all of this before — and more than once: the war in Ukraine supposedly started because NATO moved eastward; peace in Ukraine allegedly requires returning to talks about a new “security architecture”…In short — a deathly boring rant and outright hack work from an old man.

NEW: Russian President Vladimir Putin calls for potential peace talks with President Trump, says he hopes for “lasting peace” in Ukraine. Putin says he is ready for discuss a peaceful resolution to the Ukraine war. “The most important thing is to address the root causes of the crisis, which we have repeatedly pointed out. That is the key issue.” “As for resolving the situation, I want to emphasize: the goal should not be a temporary ceasefire, a short-term pause for regrouping forces and rearming to continue the conflict later, but a lasting peace based on respect for the legitimate interests of all people and nations living in the region.”
