I have tremendous worries for our summer. Wirtz has to start, that's why we paid so much. Wharton would be a nice pick up and I assume he competes with Gravenberch for that spot. We're also linked with Camara and Sangare. Does he bench Wirtz and start Dom?

@AnfieldSector first part pre season gonna be like Mama,Frimpong,Jaquet,VVD,Milos,Wharton*,Dom,Flo,Isak,Rio,Diomande* and those players who go to WC gonna be rest for a bit. Some gonna play and we not gonna have fully fit squad until September. I dont see him turn next season around in august.

Optimism for optimism sake is naive. The fact is we have no reason (none) to believe it will improve under Slot. The slide started in the 2nd half of the title season. We lack identity and edge. Players are getting worse under him. It's a mistake not to change. I hope I'm wrong.

I feel like either you didn’t see the video in its entirety or you’ve taken one section of it. Regardless, I think there are reasons to believe there will be improvement, but the reality is is there enough improvement that would be satisfactory to the point that people then are all back on side and are we going to see an improvement in terms of the product on the pitch from an entertainment and brand/identity standpoint.

I understood your points. Slot lost you, but you get why they'd stick. You are optimistic because you think there are factors for improvement. I just don't see it with him. We have lost our identity, our football, and the he did not manage to improve it through an entire season.

It's a WC season. Fact is Slot needs as big of an overhaul preseason as a new manager would. The players we have should not have been consistently this poor over an entire season. Sticking with him is an unnecessary gamble with no quantitative or qualitative evidence to back it.

I’ll put a fair amount of money on Liverpool not finishing the table next year. Regardless of how big the collapses, I think worst case scenario you see slot not turn it around and he is sacked. Which then would lead to a new manager coming in with probably a different approach, this sheer feeling of a new manager, being in with players of that ilk needing to cement themselves we would still be fine. For me worst case scenario for Liverpool next season is finishing fifth, which isn’t acceptable by any means. However, I could never foresee mid table.

I would disagree personally. This video was 22 minutes long. I trimmed it down, however, there was a section where actually addresses disconnect directly. For me that was a number of reasons I personally began to feel disconnected, Ultimately my biggest issue though, and my biggest is the style of play on the pitch, which has absolutely changed from the season previous in fact that something he himself as identified. So my biggest issue with him in regards to the disconnected, something he himself has admitted. So I wouldn’t say it is entitlement at all. However, in a sense, I can say it is entitlement to have certain expectations of the club so in one way I could agree with it.

Fair..but how can ppl disconnect from a manager in 6 months after winning the league where ppl called him a genius praised the football and the training even at the time taking subtle digs at Klopp even Mo did it.. I don't think the style changed dramatically more the players

I think 20 losses in a season, I think the most goals conceded in the Premier league by Liverpool in their history, I think the patterns of play being very slow. I think the off the ball positioning, being very passive. I think the injuries, I think the discontent players have shown in the media, I think the lack of accountability the manager has taken in the press up until the final weeks of the season, I think the lack of clarity over his future as that of the future of Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes I think all of this compiled has made fans feel very disconnected.

Would you prefer to play the final version of the football he is trying to play? Or like ppl say they want Iraola .. which imo is literally basketball games based on a 50/50 possession games ? I see alot about feelings lately while they praise Afc for getting the job done ugly

I like him a lot, in fact, I’m an advocate for his style. However, I am more than accepting of the fact that slot is Liverpool manager going forward. Therefore, I want to see what he wants to achieve and I want to see him succeed. Because if he succeeds, more than anything, Liverpool succeed.
