Quantum physics and neuroscience keep pointing to the same wild idea: reality behaves like a hologram. A projection. A kind of virtual reality. And the energy behind that projection, the source, is you. Which means you're not living inside your reality. You're generating it. That's a hard thing to... actually feel. So here's the one picture that made it click for me. Think about a mirror. When you look in it, you know the reflection isn't you. It's a projection of you. So if you wanted the reflection to smile, you'd never walk up and try to force the mirror to smile. You'd smile. And the reflection would follow. Instantly. Automatically. Now apply that to your life. Your circumstances, your bank account, your relationships, your body. That's the reflection. The physical projection. And most people spend their whole life trying to force the mirror. Grinding, pushing, bending reality with willpower, trying to change the reflection directly. But you are the source. So the move was never to force the projection. The move is to change the source. To shift who you're being at the identity and energy level. And when the source changes, the reflection has no choice. Reality reorganizes around the new you. It ripples out. So the next time you want to change your reality, stop trying to force it or bend it with your will. Change the source. You are the source. This is absolutely the right advice Too many people come into the corporate workplace thinking they are a rebel and will change how things work The reality is that if you want to get ahead, you need to play the game that has been laid out You can opt out of the game if you wish and follow your own path Maybe once you are senior enough at the MD or PM level, you can try to change the culture But until then, learning to play it is your best bet of moving ahead in your career

I can't stop thinking about this scene from Yellowstone... It begins with a simple question: "So why do you do it?" The lesson in the exchange that follows is powerful: Jimmy's initial answer ("I like the lights, I like the crowd...") is representative of many of your surface level motivations in life. You're in it for the external. You do the thing because you like the applause. The recognition. The rewards. The pats on the back. The scoreboard. The spotlight. But Travis' challenge ("What about the horses? Do you like them?") cuts straight to the truth: The only way to achieve real, lasting, meaningful success is through a grounding in the internal. The work itself. The craft. The partnership. The service to those who you're in the trenches with. Because the harsh reality is that the higher you climb, the lonelier it gets. It may look like bright lights and cheering crowds, but it'll feel like fewer real friends and true supporters. As the saying goes, "It's lonely at the top."
