Israel's first quantum computer was funded by the Rothschild family through the Weizmann Institute of Science. The goal is not only to build quantum computers, but also to advance quantum communications, sensing, and cybersecurity. "Quantum computing is the holy grail of modern computing." "This computer will be able to calculate things that the largest computers cannot."

Carlos Creus Moreira Talks about is the quantum technology platform of SEALSQ SEALQuantum is the quantum technology platform of SEALSQ , created to build a sovereign, vertically integrated quantum and post-quantum technology stack — from Root of Trust to Qubit. Through strategic investments, acquisitions and partnerships with leading quantum technology companies, SEALQuantum brings together critical capabilities across post-quantum semiconductors and cryptography, ASIC design, quantum computing, quantum communications, photonics, quantum networking and secure infrastructure. Our strategy goes beyond creating a portfolio of independent technologies. SEALQuantum is integrating these capabilities into an interoperable architecture designed to provide governments, enterprises and critical industries with trusted, sovereign and deployable quantum solutions. By combining SEALSQ’s expertise in secure semiconductors and post-quantum security with advanced quantum technologies developed across Europe, the United States and other strategic markets, SEALQuantum aims to accelerate the transition from today's cybersecurity infrastructure to the quantum-secure and quantum-enabled infrastructure of tomorrow. How IIT Madras is Changing Global Security The End of Hacking? IIT Madras is spearheading India's push into quantum-secure communications through the IITM-C-DOT Samgnya Technologies Foundation, launched as the National Hub for Quantum Communication under the National Quantum Mission. This initiative aims to make communications "unhackable" by shifting from math-based encryption to physics-based security, countering future quantum computer threats. The hub, inaugurated in December 2025 at IIT Madras Research Park, partners with C-DOT and is funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST). It focuses on developing indigenous quantum hardware, QKD networks, quantum repeaters, and satellite-based systems to protect critical infrastructure like AI data centers and defense networks. Traditional encryption relies on complex math that quantum computers will crack in years. QKD uses quantum physics: any eavesdropping alters the quantum state, alerting the system instantly and burning the key. IIT Madras claims an edge in secure transmission over computing leaders like the US and China. The hub builds real-world testbeds, subsidizes hardware for startups, trains experts, and links globally via IITM Global outposts. It positions India to lead in quantum-secure networks for sovereign AI and government use within five years. IIT Madras also runs CyStar, a cybersecurity center advancing quantum security, AI model protection, and IoT defenses since 2024. This aligns with national goals for unhackable comms amid rising cyber threats. Credit : AIM Network.

🚨 JUST NOW: President Trump signs TWO executive orders securing the United States' spot as the WORLD LEADER in Quantum Computing ORDER 1: Launches a national effort to produce a quantum computer capable of performing important scientific calculations. It also aims to develop quantum-enabled sensors and networks within the next 5 years. ORDER 2: Directs federal agencies to transition their computer systems to quantum cryptography (post-quantum cryptography standards) by 2031. It positions the U.S. government to lead wider adoption of these stronger security standards to address future quantum computing threats

Speaking in the Security update - Officials Secrets Act Case: The 2002 and 2003 integrated reviews were very clear. All the officials and the security services called and said that China was a significant threat. That was sufficient to give to the CPS, not even by ministers but by officials. The question is: why wasn’t it? But the question I really wanted to ask today concerns this absurdity about the role, or lack of role, of the National Security Adviser. The government says he wasn’t involved in any matters of substance — but isn’t it the role of the National Security Adviser to be involved in all matters of substance when it comes to national security? So, what’s the point of a National Security Adviser who does not involve themselves in matters of national security, as in this case? Instead, we are meant to believe that the Deputy National Security Adviser is allowed, in this case, to involve themselves in substantial matters of national security, but not apparently discuss these substantial matters of national security with the National Security Adviser. This does seem to be an absolute matter of substantial absurdity.

Quantum computing and Bitcoin is a nuanced conversation. The risk isn't uniform across the network, and the game theory around how a quantum capability would actually be used matters just as much as the technology itself. Richard Carback of Postquant labs, joined BitGo's High Roller Summit to break it down.

Quantum computing will eventually challenge the encryption our digital economy relies on, but the solution already exists. BTQ's Sean Hackett explained that a decade of cryptographic research has solved the core problem: post-quantum cryptography is ready today. That view now has federal backing: the White House's updated National Security Science & Technology Strategy names PQC a critical and emerging technology. As AI accelerates the pace of cyber threats, BTQ is turning that research into deployable products, building the secure foundation the next era of computing needs. $BTQ

QUANTUM COMPUTING COULD UNLEASH THE MOST POWERFUL AI EVER BUILT. BUT WHO REALLY CONTROLS IT? The Pentagon has invested more than $150 million in quantum computing, a technology most Americans have never used, but one that could reshape artificial intelligence, drug discovery, encryption, national security, and surveillance. Quantum computers use qubits instead of ordinary binary bits. Unlike traditional bits, which are either a one or a zero, qubits can represent multiple possibilities at once. That gives quantum systems the potential to solve certain complex calculations beyond the reach of today’s computers. President Trump signed two executive orders this year to accelerate quantum development and prepare U.S. systems for quantum-era cyber threats. IBM is also working toward a machine with at least 1,000 programmable qubits, a major step toward more powerful quantum systems. The potential is enormous. Paired with AI, quantum computing could help researchers model disease, study pollution, test new materials, and examine massive problems faster than ever. But the risks are enormous too. The same technology could expand surveillance, undermine encryption, and give those who control it unprecedented power to predict and influence human behavior. The question is not just what quantum-powered AI can do. It is who controls it, and whether the public will have any protection from it. Austin Steinbart (Austin Steinbart) joins me to break down quantum computing, AI, surveillance, and what this technology could mean for society.

Colorado is a national leader on quantum. And we continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible in quantum. We held a Quantum Summit at the Governor’s mansion with leaders from across our state — our leadership is being recognized at the federal level with Colorado’s designation as a TechHub for quantum. We are proud of this significant recognition, which stemmed from a competitive national process, and we expect an equally successful Phase 2 application, unlocking up to $70 million in federal resources for the region. To further boost quantum technologies here in Colorado we’re excited to pursue legislation that will provide meaningful incentives to support Colorado as a leader in quantum.
