Question for all the performance and RTP coaches out there: When looking at influencing athlete availability and taking into account the stresses placed on soft tissue and the pelvis, which strategy between these two athletes would you deem as more robust?

Robustness is defined as “capable of performing without failure under a wide range of conditions.” @SpeedSolutions_ we are looking to influence more than just performance and total time when implementing speed based training protocols in sporting environments.

Better footstrike with the stance leg (appears less collapse at foot/ankle & knee), better swing leg position of the trail thigh

@speed_works_ @EatSleepTrain_ @tm3ll1ng @pntrack @CoachGold @CoachStephMock @BarbeauTraining @Elevate_Rehab_ @PfaffSC OK, May not be a popular take, but 1.76 and 1.79 are kind of the same speed OMO. So they ran the "same speed" 2 different ways. And from looks of it, the more "robust" athlete was heavier and had to use his power more. The "lighter" athlete can get away with an "early rise." 🤔

W/ the continued emphasis around availability, is teaching to a model that optimizes load sharing/stress across the system important?

@speed_works_ @EatSleepTrain_ @tm3ll1ng @Tony_Villani_ @pntrack @CoachGold @CoachStephMock @BarbeauTraining @Elevate_Rehab_ @PfaffSC Athlete 1 appears more efficient and has better torso angle, extension at stance phase and larger hip separation. Athlete 2 had his left-sided strapped up!

@speed_works_ @EatSleepTrain_ @tm3ll1ng @Tony_Villani_ @pntrack @CoachGold @CoachStephMock @Elevate_Rehab_ @PfaffSC I agree with @KenClarkSpeed Athlete #2 has better knee to knee distance at TD, and ⬆️ negative foot speed / lower shank attack angles. Athlete #1 appears to use a low back dominant extension strategy
