Question guys Does Caleb have a right to be mad at Ian when he never told him that he was Bi from jump and just expects him to accept that people aren’t 100% gay or straight? SHAMELESS

I’m rewatching and I’m on season 7. I’d like to know peoples actual take on Caleb. Ian’s reaction to Caleb being bi shows his ignorance, absolutely. But when Caleb first tells him he’s meeting up with a high school friend he says her name is Denise. He then goes further to say Denise not Dennis, but never actually says to Ian I’m bisexual and I have sex with both men and women.

So when Ian sees him making out with Denise and confronts Caleb about it, Caleb automatically goes on the defensive and says no one is 100% anything, what’s the big deal I wasn’t sucking some guys dick. I’m fully into Ian learning about orientations outside of gay and straight but if I was with a guy (I’m a straight woman) and I saw him kissing a dude and he acted like I had no right to be upset because it wasn’t another woman, I would be livid.

Not because it was a guy, but bc when he first mentioned this person they didn’t say that they had been casually sleeping with them. I’ve seen this particular interaction discussed many times on this sub but no one seems to mention that Caleb willingly left out the fact that he sleeps with this women on the regular.

He knows enough about Ian to understand where he comes from, how he’s dealt with relationships and sexual interactions. For him to act like Ian was out of line is insane to me.
