So true however some can’t handle under sedation. Happened to me last week- exchange for bigger sheath and do hangman which is painless

I don’t use any “IVCF retrieval sets, I think they all suck. I only put in option elites and so I start with an 8fr sheath ANSL1 a 7fr ensnare through an angled coronary guide (AR3) if that doesn’t work I’ll upsize to 12fr and try lasso before forceps. Only needed forceps x1

Agree! Not many good retrieval kits! Off the shelf stuff works very well....i like your toolkit Darren!

That's an Argon Option Elite, but the filter at the end of the video is a Cook Celect.

For demonstration purposes only 😂

Nice work Keith. I use the 11 Fr Cook GT kit (gooseneck snare). If it's not out in 60 seconds, I do a "low profile" hangman snare through the existing kit. This removes 99.9% of filters, costs next to nothing, and takes about 5-10 mins

I love your step wise approach ! Thanks for sharing that article. You are a mean publishing machine!

Forceps FTW! If I have imaging showing the filter isn’t tipped and hook should be accessible might keep trying just as a point of pride 😅. But in reality very comfortable with forceps now so low hesitation. Although beware the RA 🫣

💯 As i told the medical student scrubbed into the case..Its a tool that's safe in the right hands!

I find myself switching to forceps sooner and sooner these days
