Came up with a real simple way to make these flasks look like they have liquid! 💦 1. Model glass & invert the normals 2. Model the liquid 3. Rig the liquid with a bone facing up 4. in engine apply "jiggle physics" with negative gravity #gamedev #unity #blender #animation #b3d

Marvin Te used Rive's AI agent to build a physics system and applied it to his character rig. He's blending hand-keyframed animation with AI-generated physics. No code background. Rive's AI isn't replacing artists. It's giving them the power to build their own tools.

So this was my problem: Keeping the physics running while on the inventory menu (game is paused). Paused game means paused physics. No jiggling. UNLESS... I find out that you can create a separate PhysicsScene on the fly for the avatar. #gamedev #indiedev #madewithunity #RPG

Why does Paris have massive shade trees with no issues with broken sidewalks and LA has tree roots uplifting the concrete and breaking all our sidewalks?

Added much more random variation to my ground fog shader. Turn up the speed and it can do a sandstorm. 100% shader nodes. No simulations. #b3d #blender #blender3d #cgi

#UnityTips How to simulate RC cars in Unity? With the default settings, at 10 m/s (36 km/h), each physics step moves the car 20 cm, which is a huge distance for an RC car. The solution is to increase the physics rate according to the scale of the simulated car. For example, a 1:10 scale RC car requires a 10x higher physics rate to be simulated with the same spatial resolution as a standard-sized car. In Unity, this means reducing Project Settings > Time > Fixed Timestep from 0.02 (50 Hz, default) to 0.002 (500 Hz). Full player UI with audio, CRT shader and SFX on #unity + #aseprite for sprite work. It works similar to the pipboy in fallout, basically one-in-all tablet like console the player always carry. Can u guess what the game play would be like from the UI. #gamedev #indie

That was such a close call for Bryan Backus on the rear of the No. 19. So glad to see him get up.

A few people asked if we show videos. No, we do not! It’s all realtime animation, created with code, running in the browser. We run CHROME to check if 1 pixel in the software is *exactly* 1 pixel on the hardware and if we get the right framerate.

Soooooo I've been working on a soft outline/glow shader I'll be releasing soon. It gets applied directly to the model's materials, and is everyday usable performance wise! It's not 100% perfect, but pretty close :D This is in a scene with no bloom:
