Games marketing is broken. After raising over $50M to support and work with hundreds of studios over the last 6 years, I find that the biggest problem is studios’ lack of direct connection with their players. Over the last six years, I’ve watched talented teams struggle because they never had a clear way to reach, learn from, and grow with players over time. Without that connection, everything becomes harder - validation, iteration, community growth, and retention all turn into guesswork. For most of the games industry’s history, platforms have controlled identity, communication, and distribution, which are invaluable to a game’s success. Apple limited how studios could collect and use player contact information outside the App Store, and Steam still doesn’t give studios access to the contact details of players who wishlist or sign up for playtests. Studios are left without a direct relationship with the audience they’re trying to serve. As a result, studios rely on fragmented tools and spreadsheets to manage players across different stages of development and live operations, with no continuity from first contact through long-term engagement. So many of you have asked about my Killer K2 documentary… Here it is. When I embarked on this K2 adventure, I had just 3 weeks from landing in Pakistan to getting back on a plane home. No acclimatisation. No margin for error. Just under 3 weeks on one of the most unforgiving mountains in the world. To say I pushed my body and mind to the absolute extremes is an understatement. Excited to share that I have started a Youtube Channel. This was prompted by my recent acceptance that I love creative work and simplifying complicated stuff. Entrepreneurs are my favourite group of people in Pakistan because truly believe they can make a dent in the universe. So the purpose of this content is to help entrepreneurial Pakistan learn and improve their outcomes. What helps me learn the most is listening to people. I have the privilege to be able to call on some of the smartest and innovative people building great companies in Pakistan. I thought why not let everyone listen in and learn with me. In this series of conversations, we aim to get out inspiration and actionable insights for entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers. The evidence now proves it happened in a quarter of all local authorities across the United Kingdom. Instead of helping deliver justice, successive governments have facilitated a national scale cover up. They expect you to remain silence. They expect people like me to give up. And if that doesn't work, they believe that they will be able to silence all of us. I refuse. And I know you do too. That’s why you’re here. In this space, I’ll share the stories they don’t want told, the connections they hope you never see, and the truth they work so hard to hide. My aim is simple. I am here to force a reckoning. I am neither a social media wannabe nor am I a journalist. I am a campaigner. And I'm here to stand shoulder to shoulder with betrayed communities from across the nation that deserve justice.
