It was an absolute pleasure watching him pitch and win the CY in 2012.

What I don’t think people appreciate is that the ball appears to jerk forward and backward too, as the direction of the drag coefficient changes when the ball rotates. It looks like it’s jittering. I don’t know how people hit an MLB caliber knuckler.

First pitch was very rude. Melvin Upton got an INF single in the first inn, questionable scoring, then we were no-hit. He had it working that night and year (2012).

I’ve watched the movie Knuckleball and I’ve seen various documentaries with physicists explaining why and how a knuckleball works but when I watch a good slo-mo knuckler the only thing that makes sense is black magic voodoo.
