How are insecure attachments repaired? This week I’ve been exploring the concept of attachment (a deep emotional bond created between parents and their children during the earliest months and years of life). In doing so I’ve focused primarily on the goal of secure attachment. But not all attachments begin securely. Which begs a pair of questions: What causes insecure attachments and how can they be strengthened? While anxious and disorganized attachment types can certainly result from erratic parenting, the toxic stress created by unsafe environments, and/or abuse and neglect, it’s important to keep in mind that early relational challenges occur on a broad spectrum of severity and sometimes aren’t the result of any parental shortcoming at all. In fact, some root causes may not even be within parental control. Children born extremely prematurely, for example, may spend weeks or months in a neonatal intensive care unit. While essential to their survival, the situation can limit early interaction with even the most attentive and well equipped parents. What else might impact attachment quality? The list is likely a long one. Severe postpartum depression, a prolonged military deployment… anything that might present a barrier to strong relational health between a parent and child. In complex (traumatic) cases of disorganized attachment, families may require a combination of specialized infant mental health services, therapy, and other professional supports. But in many cases the solution is as simple as a heaping dose of what was missing in the first place: predictably warm and responsive interactions. Children are remarkably resilient - and while it may take time to create updated patterns of interaction and establish them as the “new normal,” insecure attachments can often become secure with focused effort. It’s 𝕏 payday. The day the world’s best creators get paid for doing what they love. I now make more $ than I did during my 8 years at Apple. But to be honest, the $ is only small part of it. Today, I’m not tied to a desk. I don’t have a boss watching over me. No one is telling me where to be, what to work on, what to say, or what my day/life should look like. I wake up, bet on myself everyday, create and share my thoughts on what I believe in, and am doing something that really belongs to me. There is a MASSIVE premium on that kind of freedom that $ can’t buy. Once you experience it, it’s impossible to go back. The fulfillment and ownership of my own time cannot be replaced. I still remember everyone who told me I was stupid for wasting my time on 𝕏. “Get a real job.” “Those aren’t your real friends.” “No one cares what you post.” “Social media isn’t a career.” “You’ll never make real $ doing that.” “You just ride Elon’s dick.” “What you do isn’t even exciting.” “It won’t last.” Now all of those same people ask me how they can do it too. It’s really funny how betting on yourself looks foolish right up until it finally works. I built this life by showing up every single day when nobody believed in me and refusing to quit when it would have been easier to go back to Apple. I’m my own boss now. i turned 25 today, and the best gift i could give myself was this → building a school 🏫 for years i thought i’d need to save money before doing this, but today i just took the decision. we’re starting with two villages, one in bihar and one in madhya pradesh. i spoke to my maternal uncle in a small village in bihar, and with his support, we’ve begun. our Rightfit (We’re hiring) team will live in villages for 6–12+ days at a time, in b/w every 6–12 months, we’ll be visiting different villages across india where education is most needed. we’ll be teaching kids, parents, and teachers, while also learning from their culture, food, and daily lives. this will be one of the many initiatives we are building at rightfit. our community with more than 7,000+ members is also completely free. people have already found jobs, mentors, and opportunities there, without paying a single rupee. we’ve seen how powerful free knowledge-sharing can be, and we want to bring the same spirit into rural education 🙌 this school will always be free, no revenue model, no hidden agenda. we believe education should be free for every child, and we hold on to the philosophy that knowledge only grows when it’s passed on. i don’t know where this will go, but if even one spark is lit inside a child, it will mean we’ve done something meaningful. so yeah, we’re building something amazing, something a little crazy!!! if you want updates on our journey, routes, plans, growth, failures, join our waitlist by sending your email at 🌼 if you’d like to be a part of this, write to us at team@rightfit.so 💌 [ rethinking education in indian villages ]

Over the past few days, Ukraine has been facing one of the most significant political crises since the beginning of the full-scale war. Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov was dismissed. According to Fedorov himself, he had serious disagreements with the military leadership over reforming the Ministry of Defense, defense procurement, and the future development of the Armed Forces. His dismissal has sparked widespread public outrage, protests, and intense debate across Ukraine. But the biggest problem is not only the personnel decision itself. The biggest problem is the complete lack of open dialogue with society. There has been no proper conversation with the public, no clear answers to the questions that concern hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians, and no understandable explanation of why this decision was made or what the plan is going forward. And we still have none. Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians publicly support Mykhailo Fedorov. Tens of thousands are taking part in peaceful demonstrations, while millions are expressing their position online. We want the international community to see the scale of this public reaction. We are not asking foreign governments to interfere in Ukraine’s internal affairs or make personnel decisions for us. We are appealing to international journalists, newsrooms, analysts, experts, human rights advocates, and everyone who cares: please help bring attention to this situation. Tell your audience about it, request comments from Ukrainian officials, and ask questions about the reasons behind these decisions, the future of defense reforms, and the absence of open dialogue with society. Please help ensure that this issue does not disappear from the public agenda without answers. We do not need foreign interference. Arun from Malkajgiri, Hyderabad married a woman about a decade ago but she couldn’t stand his harrassment and took a divorce. Arun next got into a live-in relationship with his ex-wife’s sister Usha Rani. He married her about 5 years ago. But for the past few months, Arun started suspecting even Usha Rani. This resulted in a lot of fights and Usha Rani went to her home a few days. Today morning he called Usha Rani to speak & shot her with a gun. Usha Rani succumbed to the bullet injuries on the spot. The twist is - three months ago, while Hyderabad police were doing routine vehicle checks at Amberpet, they found Arun, a real estate agent, with a gun. They seized the gun. BREAKING: What do you notice about this video of Arizona supreme court? As they banned abortion, Glenn Youngkin did something just as awful... almost NO ONE in the media is talking about it. Last night he effectively VETOED the right to BIRTH CONTROL. But he did so in a sneaky way: He gutted Virginia’s bipartisan Right to Contraception Act by: 1. Converting it from a legal mandate to a mere suggestion 2. Removing the definition of contraception so that he can enforce it anyway he wants (likely not at all) 3. Making the whole act time limited ...thus conveniently killed the right to birth control, while trying to avoid the stigma of technically vetoing it. Why do it this way – why not veto it outright? Well, Youngkin can't be caught banning contraception because 88% of Americans believe in the right to make their own contraception decisions (poll by Americans for Contraception)... but Youngkin took $1.4 MILLION from anti-birth-control extremist lobby Susan B Anthony List. So he owed them, even though this betrays his own people. But there's still hope. Democrats can REJECT his changes. And they should... Yesterday morning, while the Osprey were clearly taking a break, I noticed a group of dragonflies dancing above the water hyacinths. At first, they just looked like dragonflies, darting back and forth through the air. But when I took a closer look through my lens, I realized they weren’t just flying. They were hunting. Tiny insects filled the air, and the dragonflies were capturing them in real time, reaching out with all six legs to snatch and consume them mid-flight. I managed to video one as it caught and ate two insects right there in the sky. It made me stop and wonder… what else is happening all around us that we simply cannot see? Each image or video I capture feels like a thread, one among billions, woven into the fabric of reality. We’ve gone from believing the Earth was the center of everything, to thinking it was flat, to now discovering possible life on planets we may never touch. What’s next? The universe is such a wild and mysterious playground. What saddens me is that asking questions like these can make people uncomfortable. Some might even leave negative comments. But to me, the greatest part of being human is our free will. Our ability to wonder. To reach beyond what we think we know. It’s wise to think outside the box, and wiser still to realize the box itself is still unfolding. And to think, all of this started from watching a dragonfly eat a bug. Thanks for listening to me ramble!
