We can't decide for a party who should be sent to represent that party. Recusal is a personal decision and cannot be imposed by others. We are establishing a precedent that is unsustainable. The CIC emphasises that nowhere in the rules or the terms of reference is there a provision for the removal of members of the Committee by the Chair or by a decision by the Committee. We had to wait for the head of state to make that announcement officially because Raila Odinga was not just the leader of ODM, he was a statesman and a pan Africanist. His elder brother Oburu Odinga was upcountry and we had to wait for him to come to Nairobi so that that announcement could be made
