@Razarumi One addition to the debate is that the Banu Hashim are said to have pronounced ض as zaad and not dhaad. Kinda like the Egyptians say Nagib and Gamal for Najib and Jamal

Excellent video. Very few South Asian Muslims realise that the ض in Arabic is not the same as د. Tho Arabic is "taught" but the phonetics are kinda approximated to whatever mother tongue the ustad has lol. Leading to, as you beautifully put it, an "incorrect correction"

The pronunciation with the ض is the one that was used by the first Muslim community, so it has that going for it.

This is only an issue for non-Arabs.

Call it whatever you want really i don't see an issue with that since not everyone uses the same terms that native arabs might use

Ur controversial views aside (which I find humorous), I enjoy your posts & videos. One suggestion I have is to speak more naturally :) u do this in your interviews but not when you are posting videos such as this. This is just a suggestion & I hope u don’t take offense :)
